Why is it that the organic apple must wear a label, pay a certification fee, and carry a price premium—while the conventional apple, grown with chemical fertilizers and synthetic pesticides, is simply called an apple? What if we flipped that? What if the organic apple was just an apple—and the one grown with chemical inputs had to be labeled chemically grown? Why does the burden fall on the farmer doing the right thing, while the one using harmful practices skates by without warning, cost, or consequence? Why does the farmer who’s working with nature—protecting our water, preserving our soil, and nourishing our...

It has long been acknowledged that the United States’ energy infrastructure isn’t particularly secure, a concern exacerbated by the lack of a central planning process for our nation’s piecemeal electric grid. Presidential administrations and Congress have been slow to address the problem, apparently daunted by the mere size and scope of the challenges the needed upgrades would present. That needs to change now. The recent news that China apparently installed hidden “kill switches” in solar equipment sold to the U.S. was the latest in a long list of reasons to be concerned about our electricity infrastructure and the foolhardy rush to...

Harvard Law School Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz, whom I’ve argued should just give up on his Democrat roots and come over to the party of reason, thinks that Kilmar Abrego Garcia and his backers made a poor choice to push for his return to the U.S. to face criminal charges for smuggling illegal immigrants. As we’ve reported, the alleged MS-13 gangbanger was mistakenly deported to El Salvador in March and quickly became the left’s newest hero.Dershowitz appeared on “The Record with Greta Van Susteren” Friday and said that Abrego Garcia and all his Democrat supporters may rue the day they...

Anyone who was following politics in 2007 and 2008 knows exactly what role the SEIU (Service Employees International Union) played in supporting candidate Barack Obama. As Obama and Hillary Clinton battled for control of the Democrat apparatus, Barack made a deal with SEIU President Andy Stern. If the purple orcs would activate -violently if needed- on Obama’s behalf, when he became President Obama would remove the healthcare liability from the union retirement by creating nationalized healthcare, Obamacare. Andy Stern agreed to the deal, marshalled his orcs and that was the army the Chicago machine used to defeat the Clinton machine....

White House deputy speaker Stephen Miller lit into Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) on Sunday, hammering the Kentucky libertarian for what he called a “dishonest and disgraceful” stance on border security and funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Miller blasted Paul after the senator appeared on Fox News with Maria Bartiromo, where he attempted to justify his opposition to a border funding bill. ..... Snip...... “The United States has spent trillions subsidizing open borders and mass migration,” Miller posted on X. “But when we talk about providing ICE even a modest sum to repel the invasion, the Rand libertarians are...

An ABC 7 News reporter was on scene in the middle of the fires and violent riots and she claimed the protests were “peaceful.” “The demonstrations have been going on right outside the federal detention center. Most of those demonstrations were very peaceful – they’re chanting, they’re shouting… and again, they’re expressing their anger about the detention of so many immigrants at the federal detention center,” the reporter said as she was harassed and heckled by anti-ICE rioters. During an appearance on CNN’s State of the Union, Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) ripped the protesters for not only tearing Los Angeles apart but for carrying Mexico’s national flag while doing so. “They were literally out there protesting, carrying a foreign flag,” Mullin said. “That is absolutely insane. I mean, they’re not just peaceful protesters. These are illegals. These are exactly why the president is trying to secure our border.” Unsurprisingly, Bash’s first thought was to defend the insurrectionists and ignore the crimes committed

Democrat California Governor Gavin Newsom is attacking Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth over his statement that U.S. Marines are on “high alert” if needed to help National Guard troops with the out of control illegal immigration riots in Los Angeles, calling it “deranged behavior.” Governor Newsom’s press office also attacked Hegseth, responding to a post by Hegseth criticizing Newsom over the riots with a Reuters photo from Saturday that showed protesters in an intersection waving a Mexican flag in front of a burning automobile. Hegseth commented, “Another “mostly peaceful protest” brought to you by @GavinNewsom DEPORT.” Newsom’s press office replied,...

VIDEOIn this second episode of my Portugal trip I warn viewers to avoid doing something that could easily turn into a horrible NIGHTMARE. My advice, at least in Portugal, is to AVOID renting cars. It could not only end up costing you an absurd amount of money, but it could also become afn extreme annoyance. Transportation in Portugal is inexpensive plus you meet a lot of interesting people on public trasport which would not happen if you are sealed in a car. Finally, in order to navigate many of the roads in Portugal, you have to drive in a manner...

On CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360," political commentator Van Jones urged President Donald Trump "to take this opportunity to win his feud with Musk by punishing all of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) employees Musk left behind. Trump may be top dog right now, but he's only got a few years left to affect public policy. The much richer and younger Musk has 40 years left. Trump needs to recognize that these DOGE employees are dangerous." "You think Trump should prosecute them?" Cooper asked. "Yes. He needs to learn from the Biden Administration's lawfare against him and ramp up a...

The Trump administration has reconsidered what state and territory firearms permits qualify as substitutes for National Instant Criminal Background Check system checks, or more generally, for Brady Law checks when purchasing a firearm. Two more states, Michigan and Alabama, have been added to the current list. As of present, 29 states and Puerto Rico have permits that qualify. Not all permits in a particular state may qualify. In Alabama, both the Concealed Carry Permit and the Lifetime Concealed Carry Permit qualify. In Michigan, both the Permit to Purchase, Carry, Possess, or Transport a handgun and the license to conceal carry qualify.Missouri...

Kilmar Abrego Garcia, aka Maryland Man, has now been extradited to the United States, and is facing a variety of serious charges relating to the smuggling of illegal aliens. And based on what one of his lawyers said—and didn't say—on Saturday's edition of MSNBC's The Weekend, things aren't looking too keen for Kilmar. Interviewed by co-hosts Eugene Daniels and Jonathan Capehart, lawyer Benjamin Osorio: Admitted that the car Abrego Garcia was driving when he was stopped for speeding by the Tennessee Highway Patrol was owned by a felon who had been convicted of smuggling illegal aliens into the US. [There...

One common Israeli tactic to get information about Israel's adversaries is to leak news out to elicit a denial of the leaked story... This week Israel's "Ynet News" claimed that France had backed away from plans to recognize a Palestinian state. But the Elysee Palace denied the content of the story... This week three Serbian nationals charged with paint vandalism of five Jewish sites in Paris last Friday. The judge in the case alleging the Serbs acted on behalf of a foreign power... Since I first started following Aussie Rules footy at the age of 9 in 1967, the qualities I have most loved seeing are courage at the contest and skill, speed and flair. Outstanding players I have seen in this regard are Barry Price, Keith Greig, Robbie Flower, Barry Cable, Garry Ablett Senior, Eddie Betts, The Krakouer brothers and the current Number 5 of the North Melbourne Kangaroos AFLW team, Tess Craven. As a human being Tess is modest, kind, friendly and helpful and always puts her team ahead of herself. The strength, skill and determination she shows above in tackling...
