We know what you’re thinking: “Not another AI browser.” You’re right. AI is everywhere. But control and privacy aren't. Today, we launched Shift AI. A context-aware, customizable, private, and completely optional AI built directly into your browser. Most AI tools pull you out of what you’re doing. You open another tab, copy and paste context, re-explain what you need, and lose your flow. Shift AI stays with you, and fits into how you already work. Privacy wasn’t an afterthought either. Shift AI chats are routed through Cloudflare’s Privacy Proxy so your activity can never be tied back to you. Something that doesn’t exist in most AI chat tools. And when we say optional, we mean it. Turn it on, customize it, or turn it off entirely. Try it out here: https://lnkd.in/gYs6AWBi #ShiftBrowser #AI #Tech

  • Earth Month, wrapped 🌍 This April, we leaned into small actions that add up, from a clothing swap that gave pieces a second life (and our closets a refresh) to a plant-based lunch catered by House of Boateng. A couple of simple ways we showed up for the planet, together—and a reminder that sustainability is built in the everyday. 🌱

  • A beautiful day to run 10K ☀️🏃♀️ Huge shoutout to these Redbrickers who took on the Victoria TC10K this past weekend. Couldn't have asked for better conditions! Getting out there, moving your body, doing something that feels good—we’re big on that. Sponsoring organized run entries is one small way we follow through.

A few members of the TEDxVictoria team hopped over to Vancouver last week to join TEDxVancouver for a live viewing of TED2026 🎥 Part of the global TED Conferences Live experience, the event brought together people from across the local TEDx community to watch the conference unfold in real time—ideas, perspectives, and conversations from around the world, all in one room. From behavioural science to digital anthropology (and yes, plenty of AI), the talks spanned disciplines, but kept circling back to one thing: how we connect in a rapidly changing world. #TEDx #TED #TEDxVictoria #TEDxVancouver

You might be seeing a lot of Earth Day posts today. But the reality is that a lot of the companies doing meaningful work have stopped talking about it. Research cited in a new Fast Company piece by Kate Williams, CEO of 1% for the Planet, puts it plainly: silence doesn't protect you. It just leaves a vacuum where misinformation spreads faster than truth. That goes for anyone with a story worth telling, whether you're talking about your company, your work, or the change you want to see in the world. As a Certified B Corp, we try to share our progress honestly. Not because it's perfect, but because peer examples are what push whole industries forward. Some vocabulary worth knowing right now: 👉 Greenwashing — saying more than you're actually doing. 👉 Greenhushing — going quiet about real progress out of fear of backlash. 👉 Greenshouting — communicating your sustainability efforts openly, accurately, and with confidence. There's a practical (and free) guide to help start these conversations, put together by B Lab, Creatives for Climate, and Nice and Serious. In the bigger scheme of things, nothing we're doing — building standards, certifying companies, measuring impact — matters if we don't have a planet that can sustain life. So this Earth Day, let’s be clear: environmental accountability isn't “optional”; it's the baseline requirement for business to exist at all. And while every business depends on the planet, not every business is accountable to it. Find the ones that are at bcorp.com

For seven years in a row, Redbrick has been named one of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers. That kind of sustained growth—across team, portfolio, and operations—forces clarity on what actually scales and what doesn’t. As Marco Pimentel puts it, scale isn’t just revenue. It’s systems. It’s building something that can grow, adapt, and hold over time. Without that foundation, growth doesn’t last. At Redbrick, sustainability has always been part of how we approach growth—so we can continue investing in our people, our companies, and the work we do.
