The pace and complexity of today's environment are moving faster than most organizations are built to absorb. As a result, what once created strength, such as scale, control and experience, now often creates constraint.

I work with board members, executives and founders who are trying to sustain performance in that reality, where decisions now carry more weight, conditions shift quickly and the same approach doesn't always work.

Much of that work happens in the room. The rest of it happens on stage and on podcasts, where the focus is on why strong ideas do not translate into outcomes once they are used across different companies and situations.

The reason is straightforward. A board looks at one set of priorities, while an executive team is working through another, shaped by their respective mandates. And what works in one organization often doesn't hold in another, because timing and conditions shift from one situation to the next.

Today, I focus on helping leaders determine what actually works in practice, what breaks under pressure, and what needs to change for performance to hold.

My work operates across three connected layers. The first is direct work with executives, boards and founders, where the hardest calls get made and the approach is built for one organization at a time. The second carries that thinking to leaders more widely, through the prioritized intelligence of Decision Index, and the capability development programs of Targeting Excellence.

The third is the public thinking behind all of it, developed through ClearLens Media across the books, podcasts and the keynote stage. A Distinct Advantage makes the case that leadership, strategy and technology decide performance together rather than separately, and it remains the frame I return to. The Contemporary Leader series develops the leadership variable, including The Contemporary Board Member for those governing rather than running. So... Now What? and Falling Behind? are shorter and more diagnostic, written for leaders who want to place their organization honestly before deciding what to do next.

The throughline is the same across every layer: helping leaders and organizations fundamentally shift their performance trajectory and build advantage that holds under today's conditions.
