Sanjay Funde shared thisNothing to Good to Great.Sanjay Funde shared thisAt Bajaj Finserv, we serve millions of Indians and are witness to their aspirations every single day. The village boy who taught himself a digital skill on a borrowed device. The woman who turned a home kitchen into a livelihood. The first-generation graduate who built a company from a rented desk. Behind every transaction is a story of someone who refused to give up. We've always felt these stories deserve to be seen. Today, we're beginning a journey to bring some of them to you. The first is a film, inspired by a true account, narrated by Aamir Khan. This is the first one. There will be more.

Sanjay Funde shared thisHealth insurance penetration in India remains abysmally low. The pandemic has shown the importance of personal wellness as well as having adequate insurance cover to avoid panic situations. Focus should be on health recovery than worry about financial costs during hospitalization. Grateful to Tapan Singhel sir for his guidance on interventions required to improve this. Hope we see the winds of change soon wrt regulation and Nil GST for Health insurance. #healthinsurance #wellness #healthcareSanjay Funde shared thisHealth Insurance has certainly gained limelight due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In this interaction with Kr Srivats from Business Line (aka The Hindu Business Line), I emphasized on the dire need to set up a regulator for hospitals in order to streamline medical expenses and also the necessity to reduce GST on health insurance premium, which can help reduce the burden on the customers. #mytake #healthinsurance #customercentricity #caringlyyours

This achievement builds on the significant progress we've made to proactively manage risk, improve our portfolio, and position us for long-term success through innovative solutions. We also delivered a strong Q2, reflecting continued progress against our strategic priorities. Core EPS increased 16%, and we continued to generate strong returns while maintaining the financial strength and capital flexibility to invest in future growth. Together, these outcomes underscore the strength of our balance sheet, the resilience of our diversified business, and our continued focus on creating shareholder value. Thank you to our colleagues around the world for their continued focus and execution.

💡Being part of the Indian Financial Ecosystem – sharing my 2 cents on the current battle of NIM Pressure Vs ROA Resilience The Indian Banking and NBFC sector is navigating a crucial phase. While Net Interest Margins (NIMs) are under pressure due to the lagged repricing of funding costs (deposits catching up to past rate hikes) and the expectation of an easing cycle, Return on Assets (ROA) remains resilient. 📉 The Current Dynamics: Margin Squeeze vs. Efficiency Gain 1. Looming NIM Pressure: Both Public and Private Sector Banks face NIM headwinds primarily driven by: - Delayed Transmission: The high cost of deposits is finally reflecting in the books, causing compression. - Forward Pressure: Expected RBI rate cuts will quickly reduce floating loan yields (EBLR), putting further pressure on NIMs. 2. The "Green Shoots": The impact on ROA is being significantly offset by two factors: - Low Credit Cost: The sector's massive post 2015 Asset Quality Review cleanup means Credit Costs are at multi-year lows directly boosting the bottom line. - Focus on Operational Efficiency: Banks are relentlessly focused on improving the Cost-to-Income Ratio and boosting Other Income channels to diversify away from pure NIM dependency. 3. NBFCs - The Structural Advantage: NBFCs are structural beneficiaries of a rate-cut cycle. Their cost of borrowing is dropping quickly, potentially leading to NIM expansion while their higher-yield loan book provides superior overall returns. ⚠️ Key Risks to Monitor - Banks: The speed of the NIM recovery hinges on the pace of deposit cost reduction and the RBI's rate trajectory. - NBFCs: Increased regulatory scrutiny (e.g., higher risk weights on unsecured loans) and reliance on volatile wholesale funding markets. 🎯 While I read about a sector or an industry nowadays, I have built a habit to look at it from the lens of an investor (institutional or retail) 🟢 A Conservative Investor focusing on 'Stability' would bet on the largest, most resilient Private Banks - possess the superior CASA (Current Account Savings Account) and high operational efficiency - providing a strong moat against the interest rate cycles. (ROE: 14% - 16%). 🟡 A Value Investor hoping for a future re-rating would target the select PSU Banks and Large Diversified NBFCs. PSUs trading at a lower Price-to-Book (P/B) multiples while ROAs sustain above 1% and asset quality remains clean - offer a powerful re-rating opportunity. Diversified NBFCs offer balanced high growth at a reasonable valuation. 🔴 A Growth Investor focusing on Alpha & Easing Cycle Beneficiaries would lean on Specialized NBFCs (e.g., Microfinance, Vehicle Finance) or select Mid-Tier Banks - fast AUM growth & most immediate beneficiaries of a rate-easing. I am brimming with thoughts on this topic - happy to have an elaborate discussion. Feel free to share your thoughts too! 👇 #IndianEconomy #Finance #BankingSector #NBFC #Investing #NotAnExpert

When I’m asked to design or upgrade an operating cadence, the starting point is always decisions, not calendar slots. The goal is to understand which decisions truly move the business and then build rituals around those, instead of filling people’s time with status meetings. For a high‑growth or turnaround environment, that focus is what keeps execution sharp instead of reactive. The first step is to map decisions by frequency. Weekly decisions usually cover near‑term flow: which customers, projects or locations need attention, which bottlenecks to unblock, and what trades to make in capacity or inventory. Monthly decisions are more structural—network changes, hiring approvals, budget shifts, or major process tweaks. Quarterly decisions sit at the strategy layer: entering new markets, launching new product lines, or re‑shaping the operating model to hit the next phase of scale. Once those decisions are clear, the next question is who must be in the “room” for each and who only needs visibility. For example, a weekly fulfilment review in an e‑commerce or healthcare context might require operations, planning, and customer support leaders, while finance just needs a summary. In a fintech yard/asset network, a monthly forum might bring together collections, risk, operations, and sales, but only a concise outcome note goes to CXO level. This prevents senior people from being dragged into every discussion while still keeping them informed where it matters. The third piece is pre‑work. Sessions should be about decisions, not discovery, so pre‑reads and data cuts are non‑negotiable. In practice, that can look like a standardised one‑pager or dashboard covering the last period’s performance, key variances vs plan, and 2–3 proposed actions for each major issue. In a logistics turnaround, that might be a simple view showing volume, cost per shipment, service levels, and suggested network changes; in a yard or repo context, it could be recovery rates, asset ageing, and proposed actions on underperforming locations. From there, the operating cadence almost designs itself: a short daily or thrice‑weekly stand‑up for urgent flow issues; weekly pipeline and operations reviews for decisions on capacity, SLAs, and priorities; a monthly S&OP/IBP‑style forum to align demand, supply, and financial impact; and quarterly retrospectives and planning sessions to adjust the overall playbook. When this is in place, everyone knows when issues will be discussed, where to bring data, and who decides—which dramatically reduces ad‑hoc chaos, side‑channel debates, and the sense that “nothing ever gets closed.” What are your thoughts on this. Let me know in comments. #Operations #ChiefOfStaff #SupplyChain #OperationsLeadership #HighPerformance #Execution #ScaleUp #BusinessOperations #OpenToWork #Leadership

I came across this fascinating editorial in today's Economic Times by Mr Puneet Chandok, President of Microsoft India & South Asia, on how AI agents are reshaping the way we live and work... While reading this article I was able to co-relate these thoughts to another point which he highlighted recently at a YPO Gurgaon event — that very soon, for HR & business leaders, the decision will practically be: hire an AI agent or a real person for some of the positions … AI Agents are no longer science fiction — they are fast becoming our co-workers.. And those who embrace this shift early will unlock efficiency, innovation, and entirely new ways of working.. Food for thought indeed , and as an AI enthusiast looking forward to follow & learning more from AI leaders like Mr. Chandok as we step into this fascinating new era…

10 Things You Should Never Say to Your Boss (And What to Say Instead) Communication at the workplace can make or break your professional image. The snapshot highlights how small changes in wording can create a big impact. Here are some powerful communication shifts: 1. Don’t demand, discuss – Instead of “I want a raise”, talk about performance-based review. 2. Ask for growth, not promotion – Focus on learning and next steps. 3. Avoid rigid statements – Replace “Not my job” with alignment on responsibilities. 4. Manage workload smartly – Suggest reprioritisation instead of saying no. 5. Be solution-oriented – Replace “This is impossible” with problem-solving approach. 6. Discuss pay professionally – Link it with role and contribution. 7. Handle conflicts maturely – Focus on teamwork, not complaints. 8. Show willingness – Be open to learning beyond your role. 9. Take ownership – Avoid blame, focus on solutions. 10. Accept feedback positively – Show intent to improve. Right words reflect right attitude.
