2007
Chris Coyier kicks things off and publishes the very first post. on July 4.
2010
The CSS-Tricks introduces the CSS Almanac, covering CSS features.
2012
Chris makes this his full-time job, launching a Kickstarter to fund it.
2015
Marie Mosley, Robin Rendle, Sarah Drasner, and Geoff Graham join the team.
2016
The CSS-Tricks Newsletter begins, stewarded by the great Robin Rendle.
2021
DigitalOcean acquires the site, bringing Geoff Graham along as editor.
But more than all this, CSS-Tricks is a community of authors, or perhaps a platform that gives a community of creative, smart, and gifted writers a voice to share their front-end craft based on real-world experiences they’ve learned along the way. No joke, more than 200 writers (we lost track somewhere) have contributed to CSS-Tricks over the years.
