Australian actress Margot Robbie graduated from Somerset College, where she took drama classes, in 2007. She then appeared in two local movies — Vigilante (2008) and I.C.U. (2009). She then moved to Melbourne and was cast in Neighbours, a soap opera in which she appeared from 2008 to 2011.

After appearing in Mary Queen of Scots (2018) as Elizabeth I, she portrayed Sharon Tate in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood (2019). She also appeared in 2019’s Dreamland and Bombshell (2019), for which she received another Oscar nomination about the sexual harassment revelations at Fox News. She reprised her role as Harley Quinn in Birds of Prey (2020) and The Suicide Squad (2021). She appeared in David O. Russell’s Amsterdam (2022) and Damien Chazelle’s Babylon (2022). After appearing in Asteroid City (2023) Robbie starred in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie (2023) as the main heroine, who goes on a quest with Ryan Gosling’s Ken.

Her latest film, Kogonada’s A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, is now out in theaters, and she will soon appear in Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights alongside Jacob Elordi.

Robbie cofounded the production company LuckyChap Entertainment in 2014 with Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara. The actress married Ackerly in December 2016, and the couple recently welcomed their first child together.
