Enabling Copilot coding agent

Overview

Copilot-Programmier-Agent is an AI-powered software development agent that can work autonomously on issues or developer requests. It raises draft pull requests to propose a fix and iterates on the changes in response to feedback.

Copilot-Programmier-Agent is off by default and must be enabled before it is available for use.

Enabling Copilot-Programmier-Agent for organizations

For organizations, the ability to use Copilot-Programmier-Agent is controlled by policy settings for the organization. See Hinzufügen von Copilot-Programmier-Agent zu deiner Organisation.

If the organization is owned by an enterprise, enablement may be controlled at the enterprise level. See Making Copilot-Programmier-Agent available to enterprise members.

Enabling Copilot-Programmier-Agent for your personal repositories

If you want Copilot-Programmier-Agent to be available in repositories owned by your own personal account, you must enable it in your account settings. See Verwalten von Copilot-Richtlinien als Einzelabonnent*in.
