Blitz: Race Against Time is a 32-map megawad for Doom II designed for MBF21-compatible source ports, created by various members of the Russian Doom Community, led by Vladislav Putintsev (Ear1h). The first version was released on April 27, 2025. The goal of the megawad is to reach the exit in 30 seconds using different ways.

Content[edit]
This project is based on the Volcanic Eruption resource pack by Ear1h, which is a fork of Minicharge by Tango.
General overview[edit]
- New weapon and monster sprites, new sounds, new HUD, and other various things.
- Extended help screens about monsters.
- ACS to add a thunder on MAP21 and MAP32 and to fix a softlock on MAP03. At the beginning of each level the information about the music and the mapper is displayed.
Custom monsters[edit]
- Lost soul
- Health reduced to 30 hit points.
- Rapid fire trooper
- A reskinned version of the Wolfenstein SS.
- Dark imp
- A reinforced version of the imp that has 105 hit points and fires weak homing projectiles.
- Double chaingunner
- A reinforced version of the chaingunner that has 100 hit points and two chainguns. When killed, the double chaingunner drops its weapon, which contains 10 bullets.
- Plasma zombie
- A former human that has 60 hit points and plasma rifle. It fires three consecutive plasma projectiles. When killed, the plasma zombie drops an energy cell containing 20 cells.
- Kamikaze
- A former human that has 50 hit points and explodes at close range.
- Beheaded kamikaze
- A weak version of the Kamikaze that has 20 hit points and higher speed.
- Mech demon
- A reinforced version of the demon that has 250 hit points and partially invisible counterpart.
- Satyr
- The brown demon strikes exclusively with its powerful claws at close range and has 400 hit points.
- Gandonchik
- A weakly version of the cacodemon that has 125 hit points.
- Diabolist
- Fiery-red cousin of the arch-vile with 800 hit points and a zero percent pain chance. It summons exploding plumes of fire beneath the player’s feet that linger for about 1.8 seconds and then explode three times in a row for area-denial, with each explosion dealing 28 blast damage within a radius of 28 map units.
- Resurrector
- A alternative version of the diabolist that focuses only on resurrecting corpses.
- Afrit
- A powerful flying version of the baron of Hell that has 1600 hit points. Basically similar to its cousin, but has a chance to throw three explosive projectiles in an arc.
- Dark Cardinal
- Floating brethren of the cyberdemon that has 2200 hit points. Fires arachnotron shots at a pretty fast pace as long as its target is in sight. Has an exceptionally low pain chance, but is now vulnerable to explosion damage.
- Cyberdemon Jr.
- A weak variant of cyberdemon that has 1000 hit points.
Allies[edit]
All marines have 200 hit points and are immune from attacks by other allies.
- Fist marine
- A friendly marine that is concentrating on close range.
- Shotgun marine
- A friendly marine that is armed with a shotgun like a player's shotgun. When killed, the marine shotgunner drops its weapon, which contains four shells.
- Chaingun marine
- A friendly marine that is armed with a chaingun like a player's chaingun. When killed, the marine chaingunner drops its weapon, which contains 10 bullets.
- Rocket launcher marine
- A friendly marine that is armed with a rocket launcher like a player's rocket launcher. When killed, the rocket marine drops a rocket.
- Plasma rifle marine
- A friendly marine that is armed with a plasma rifle like a player's plasma rifle. When killed, the plasma rifle marine drops an energy cell containing 20 cells.

The original release of the WAD featured three built-in demos (they were replaced with empty lumps in the idgames archive release). All require Doom II with an MBF21-compatible source port to view them. The demo levels are:
