GrayDOOM is a compilation pack containing four levels, released on July 2, 1994, by Richard Gray (Levelord). These are four separate WAD files, but since they are slotted from E2M1 to E2M4, they may be loaded and played together if desired.
The levels were originally uploaded on the CompuServe Action Games forum in 1994, and saw a warm reception. They ended up catching the attention of Nick Newhard of Q Studios (later Monolith Productions), which were at the time working on the video game Blood. Following this, Richard Gray was hired to work on Blood, and subsequently hired by 3D Realms to work on Duke Nukem 3D, kickstarting Gray's video game development career.[1]
