Scimitar is a 22-level megawad created for Doom II by Richard Hardacre (Cycloid), requiring a Boom-compatible source port, that was released in October 2006. Split into three episodes and featuring seamless progression between levels (each level's ending room is identical to the room the next level is started on), the mod also makes use of DeHackEd to implement some gameplay changes, notably replacing the fist and chainsaw with the titular scimitar, in a short and long variant.

Custom monsters[edit]
- SSG trooper
- A zombieman wielding a super shotgun with 90 hit points, replacing the original zombieman (which itself takes the place of the pain elemental).
- Calfdemon
- A white baby cacodemon with 100 hit points, replacing the lost soul.
- Cacodemoness
- A green cacodemon variant emitting green fireballs.
- Mancubus II
- A modified mancubus but with the same 600 hit points.
- Arachno gunner
- An arachnotron variant with green eyes that carries a chaingun and has 600 health. Replaces the spiderdemon.
- Arachno rocketeer
- A modified arachnotron with red eyes and 700 health, firing rockets. Replaces the cyberdemon.
- Red baron
- A baron of Hell that throws red fireballs.
- Boss eye
- Replacing the barrel, this variant on the boss brain occurs three times in MAP20, with 400 hit points each.
