Abdullahi Kassim is a Nigerian engineer and power sector executive. He serves as an Executive Director of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), where he oversees electricity generation assets developed under the Nigerian National Integrated Power Project.^[1][2] He was first appointed to the role by President Muhammadu Buhari in October 2020 and reappointed by President Bola Tinubu in August 2024.^[3][4][5][6]

Kassim was born in Kano, Nigeria. He obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering from Bayero University Kano, and a Master of Science in thermal power from Cranfield University.^[7]

Kassim completed his National Youth Service Corps at the Pipeline and Products Marketing Company (PPMC), a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). He later joined Dangote Group, working as a field engineer in operations and maintenance of gas turbine power plants. He later worked as a field service engineer with Alstom Power Nigeria, responsible for maintenance of the Alstom fleet across North and West Africa. He subsequently joined General Electric, holding engineering and commercial positions across Nigeria, South Africa, the Middle East, and North Africa.^[4][3]

In 2023, he was conferred fellowship of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.^[8]
