Template-protected edit request on 11 October 2025

[edit]

I want to request a new parameter for having a multiple name for religious structures, for example Gulou South Street Mosque, sometime also called as Drum Tower Mosque.

another example Lhasa Great Mosque also called as Hebalin Mosque.

Description of suggested change: @Jonesey95: Consider reverting this rev, which overrides color of religious affiliation colors. Shinto is currently rendered as background-color: #A12F25; color: #FFF;;color:inherit; which is like this.

Thanks for the ping. As I said in my edit summary, "this generally works but may cause problems". I modified a few hundred infobox template pages, and there were maybe three or four that didn't quite work right. It looks like this was one of them. I have reverted pending a more refined fix; this is not an urgent issue. – Jonesey95 (talk) 15:12, 13 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Request - Catholic Churches

[edit]

For Catholic-related articles, please revise District to Diocese.

The term "district" is not used in Catholicism

Existing Code:

| label4 = {{#switch:{{Infobox religious building/color|{}}}
|#FFCC99 = District
|District}}
| class4 = label
| data4 = {}

Proposed Code:

| label4 = {{#switch:{{Infobox religious building/color|{}}}
|#FFCC99 = Diocese
|District}}
| class4 = label
| data4 = {}

Thank you. –Zfish118talk 15:34, 13 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't we just link to Diocese? – Jonesey95 (talk) 21:35, 13 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
