XFORMS is not cross-platform
[edit]I have not found any hint that xforms is cross-platform: XForms is a graphical user interface toolkit for X based on the X11 Xlib library. Rainglasz (talk) 09:30, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
zenity
[edit]Lacking a reliable source, zenity appears to be a standalone application (no widget library). Where a library would be, zenity uses Gtk (making it not topical here) TEDickey (talk) 19:38, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
The template uses several terms that are not defined in Widget toolkit.
[edit]The template makes a distinction between 'low-level' vs. 'high-level', as well as 'platform-specific' vs. ' cross-platform'. Though the terms are not directly used, the latter is defined and distinguished in the article: "This engine can be specific to a certain operating system or windowing system or contain back-ends to interface with multiple ones ..." The former however is not elabored at all. The page List of widget toolkits does elaborate them. This information might need to be incoprorated into Widget toolkit. wneo (talk) 17:57, 16 November 2025 (UTC)
