Finding citations for stuff really depends on the subject. If I were trying to look for sources for writing about a bird, I would search on Google Scholar for papers about that bird; however, if I were writing about, say, a restaurant, I would search on Google News. Rule of thumb, if the subject leans more academic, I would use an academic repository (like Google Scholar), and for more pop-culture oriented subjects, I would use Google News. msk 16:36, 7 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

The book I'm writing about is a limited edition (500 Copies) and was published in 1937. As such it is extremely difficult to find online reviews or articles about this book, which is why I created the wikipage. Connell's work from this book is in a number of major collections, including Getty, Met, UCLA and the Smithsonian and he was admired writer and teacher of photography in California. I have provided multiple citations from these institutions that discuss the book in detail and just wanted clarification on why this isn't considered sufficient. Since the last declines, I have re-written the article manually without any LLM support. And I have re-read the [Signs of AI writing] guideline and cannot spot any issues with it.

Hi MSK, thanks for asking directly. Yes, I used AI for the initial draft when I created this on 25 May. I was advised thereafter that this is inappropriate and have only done manual changes subsequently.
