White Text on Teal

[edit source]

By default the description of "Portals" is rendered in white text on teal, which is extremely hard to read. CornflakeCancer (talk) 00:13, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please link to the page where you're seeing the issue? Which skin are you using? —andrybak (talk) 19:48, 15 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Missing/default icons

[edit source]

Is there a way to add icons to portals, or a specific place to discuss the inclusion of an icon. Some portals, like Portal:Studio Ghibli, only have the default icon when shown in the portal [bar] template. IAmNMFlores (talk) 17:27, 15 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The place to discuss is Template talk:Portal, the centralized discussion page for the modules which store the icons. An icon for Studio Ghibly will go on the page Module:Portal/images/s. Keep in mind, that non-free (fair use) images cannot be used for icons of portals. —andrybak (talk) 19:46, 15 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Crafts

[edit source]

Hi, Idk if there is enough material on Wiki to have a separate portal for crafts, but my sentiment is that crafts have been, as it were, instrumental throughout much of human history. There is a bud of a portal in the article "Artisan", with links to many trades. And perhaps one can include relevant content from WikiHow. Just a suggestion. Prostitution Portal - Duplicate?

[edit source]

Under "Human Activities" there is a portal "Prostitution" and another, "Sex work." Is there a reason they are both there? Should "Prostitution" not be a sub-portal to "Sex work"? I hesitate to simply edit it since I only joined a couple of days ago and it seems as if there ought to be a reason it is there at such a high level, but it says under "Prostitution": "Prostitution is a type of sex work"; very much a sub-portal thing to say.
