Requests at Gregory Poland
[edit source]On behalf of Atria Health and as part of my work at Beutler Ink, I have submitted a series of COI edit requests for improving the biography about American physician-scientist and vaccinologist Gregory Poland. There are requests related to his early life, educational background, and personal life, if any WikiProject U.S. participants are interested in taking a look. Thanks! Inactive meetup groups in the US
[edit source]Hi everyone. I noticed that there's more inactive than active meetup groups in the United States in Template:Wikipedia meetups. I want to remove them to simplify the cluttered template but wanted to ask for other opinions before doing so. Thoughts? Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 02:22, 12 July 2026 (UTC)
- Good idea. The inactive groups list doesn’t really serve a purpose in the template. The info is available elsewhere. - Wil540 art (talk) 02:43, 12 July 2026 (UTC)
- Okay, I'll remove them then. I'll just double check they're actually inactive first. Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 02:46, 12 July 2026 (UTC)
Question about Denise O'Leary
[edit source]So, I added a note to Smithsonian Institution#Current Board of Regents about her, yesterday, saying the following:
"The April 13, 2026 meeting of the Board of Regents still lists her as a member, with the New York Times writing on April 3, 2026 that "though the Regents voted months ago to renominate two members for second terms, neither of those candidates — Denise O’Leary of Colorado and Franklin D. Raines of the District of Columbia — have had their names forwarded to Congress for reasons that remain unclear."
Does anyone have other information on her present term? What I mean is that it is my understanding that her first six-year term ended on April 10th of this year, but a resolution never passed the U.S. Congress which renewed her for a second six-year-term. Despite her term expiring, she is still listed on the Board. I just want to make sure I'm not missing something here. In solidarity - Historyday01 (talk) 12:25, 17 July 2026 (UTC)

Hopewell Fund Request
[edit source]Hello, this is Jonathan, Chief of Staff at the Hopewell Fund. I’ve been working with volunteer editors to improve the article, and I recently posted a new edit request proposing a History subsection. The draft would organize existing material chronologically and incorporate additional information drawn from independent news coverage.
I’ve been advised that a request of this scope would especially benefit from review by editors with subject-matter expertise, so I’m reaching out in the hope that someone from this WikiProject may be willing to take a look. I recognize that experienced editors have many competing demands on their time, but the request has been difficult to move forward without knowledgeable, independent input.
Any feedback—whether on the proposed structure, the sourcing, the balance of the content, or the draft as a whole—would be enormously helpful and sincerely appreciated. Even a brief review or guidance on what should be revised would make a meaningful difference. Thank you very much for considering it. JB at Hopewell Fund (talk) 13:06, 19 August 2026 (UTC)
