Pulp & Beyond 2026 Startup Competition won by Woamy 👏🏆 The Pulp & Beyond Forest Bioeconomy Startup Competition brings forth new and significant solutions in the field of forest bioeconomy. The finalists of the startup competition included Green Factory AI, LignEasy, and Woamy. Woamy has developed recyclable cellulose-based biofoams to replace plastic foams in protective packaging. The competition jury praised the pitch delivered by Woamy’s CEO, Susanna Partanen, highlighting its clear narrative and easy‑to‑follow structure. Woamy’s innovation received high recognition for its focused business case, transparent solution, and consistent presentation of key performance indicators that provide a strong foundation for future growth. The competition was organized by Messukeskus in cooperation with Puunjalostusinsinöörit ry - Finnish Forest Products Engineers' Association. #PulpBeyond #Startup

Come to see the Uusi Puu - New Wood Exhibition: Building a bio-based future at Pulp & Beyond on April 15–16! The New Wood: Building a bio-based future exhibition showcases how cutting-edge wood-based materials are transforming everyday products from textiles and packaging to cosmetics, chemicals, and even car tires. The exhibition brings together renewable materials, circular use of forest biomass and design to show how the transition from a fossil-based economy to a bio-based one is already underway. Launched in 2014, New Wood initiative was created to increase public understanding of the full potential of wood, today and in the future. The project brings together 20 Finnish organisations from across the forest industry and is funded by its members and the Finnish Forest Foundation. This exhibition visited the King's Foundation's Garrison Gallery in London March 9 to 27, 2026. 📍 The New Wood Exhibition is located at stand 4b1.
