On the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), the Pandemic Fund, together with the Governments of Armenia and Rwanda, will convene Heads of State, ministers of health and finance, leaders of international organizations, development partners, and global health experts for a high-level discussion on how country leadership and investment are strengthening pandemic preparedness and building a more resilient global health system.
Ahead of the UN High-Level Meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response, the event will spotlight how countries are investing their own resources—alongside catalytic financing from the Pandemic Fund and partners—to close critical preparedness gaps, strengthen health systems, and build resilience to future health threats. The discussion will highlight how investing in preparedness not only protects lives but also safeguards economies. Global leaders and senior policymakers will share how these partnerships are translating political and financial commitments into measurable results.
Moderated by Andrew Sollinger, CEO and Publisher of Foreign Policy, the Pandemic Fund‘s official media partner for the event, the discussion will take place on September 23, 2026, from 4:30–6:00 p.m., at the Rockefeller Center, New York, and will be livestreamed to a global audience.
