Pull clk updates from Stephen Boyd:
"This is all clk driver updates. Mostly new SoC support for various

Add the missing Eliza SDCC1 interconnect slave ID and provider node.
The Eliza interconnect binding and provider already describe SDCC2, but
the matching SDCC1 CNOC CFG slave was left out. Add the binding constant
and the provider node so consumers can describe SDCC1 bandwidth paths.
The provider change also adds qhs_sdc1 to qsm_cfg and bcm_cn0, and updates
the qsm_cfg link count and bcm_cn0 node count.

This adds RPMh-based interconnect support for the Qualcomm Nord SoC.
The Nord SoC features a rich Network-on-Chip topology comprising 19 NoCs
including aggregate NoCs, a high-speed configuration NoC (HSCNOC), a
multimedia NoC, four NSP data NoCs for AI/ML workloads, PCIe inbound and
outbound NoCs, a system NoC, and virtual clock/MC nodes. Bandwidth requests
are communicated to the RPMh hardware through Bus Clock Manager (BCM)
resources via the Resource State Coordinator (RSC).

The Eliza interconnect provider is missing the SDCC1 CNOC CFG slave
node. Add qhs_sdc1 to the provider node table so SDCC1 interconnect
paths can resolve to a provider node.
Hook qhs_sdc1 up to qsm_cfg and CN0, and bump the corresponding
qsm_cfg.num_links and bcm_cn0.num_nodes counts.

There is no point to allow selecting core SoC drivers like interconnects
for Qualcomm ARMv7 SoCs when building ARM64 kernel, and vice versa.
This makes kernel configuration more difficult as many do not remember
the Qualcomm SoCs model names/numbers and their properties like
architecture. No features should be lost because:
1. There won't be a single image for ARMv7 and ARMv8/9 SoCs.
2. Newer ARMv8/9 SoCs won't be running in arm32 emulation mode.

By convention MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE() immediately follows the ID table it
exports, because this is easier to read and verify. It also makes more
sense since #ifdef for ACPI or OF could hide both of them.
Most of the privers already have this correctly placed, so adjust
the missing ones. No functional impact.

debugfs_write_file_str() uses standard kfree() to release old strings.
Initializing src_node and dst_node with devm_kstrdup() creates a memory
management mismatch. If a user writes to these debugfs nodes, the
devm-allocated memory is freed via kfree(), leaving a dangling pointer
in the device resource list that can lead to a double free.
Fix this by using standard kstrdup() instead. Since the interconnect
subsystem is strictly built-in and cannot be unloaded as a module, there
is no exit path requiring manual cleanup of these strings. The error
handling path is also simplified by taking advantage of the fact that
kfree(NULL) is a safe no-op.

Commit d6edc31f3a68 ("clk: qcom: smd-rpm: Separate out interconnect bus
clocks") moved control over several RPM resources from the clk-smd-rpm
driver to the icc-rpm.c interconnect helpers. Most of the platforms were
fixed before that commit or shortly after. However the MSM8974 was left
as a foster child in broken state. Fix the loose ends and reenable
interconnects on that platform.

In preparation to restoring the ability of MSM8974 driver to work with
the modern kernels, switch the driver to the main icc-rpm set of helper
code.
As platform-specific workarounds, set the get_bw callback (returning 0)
to prevent initial setup from programming INT_MAX into the RPM (which
otherwise might hang the platform) and tell RPM programming code to
ignore -ENXIO errors from the firmware (until the QoS programming is
sorted out).

On MSM8974 programming some of the RPM resources results in the
"resource does not exist" messages from the firmware. This occurs even
with the downstream bus driver, which happily ignores the errors. My
assumption is that these resources existed in the earlier firmware
revisions but were later switched to be programmed differently (for the
later platforms corresponding nodes use qos.ap_owned, which prevents
those resources from being programmed.
In preparation for conversion of the MSM8974 driver (which doesn't have
QoS code yet) to the main icc-rpm set of helpers, let the driver declare
that those -ENXIO errors must be ignored (for now). Later, when the QoS
programming is sorted out (and more interconnects are added to the DT),
this quirk might be removed.

MSM8974 requires a separate get_bw callback, since on that platform
increasing the clock rate for some of the NoCs during boot may lead to

This series enables QoS configuration for QNOC type device which
can be found on QCS615 platform. It enables QoS configuration
for master ports with predefined priority and urgency forwarding.
This helps in prioritizing the traffic originating from different
interconnect masters at NOC (Network On Chip).
The system may function normally without this feature. However,
enabling QoS helps optimize latency and bandwidth across subsystems
like CPU, GPU, and multimedia engines, which becomes important in
high-throughput scenarios. This is a feature aimed at performance
enhancement to improve system performance under concurrent workloads.

Mahua is a derivative of the Glymur SoC and shares a significant
portion of its interconnect topology with Glymur. As such, this
series extends the existing Glymur interconnect driver to support
Mahua, reusing common definitions where possible and adding
SoC-specific configurations where necessary.

Add driver for the Qualcomm interconnect buses found in Eliza
based platforms. The topology consists of several NoCs that are
controlled by a remote processor that collects the aggregated
bandwidth for each master-slave pairs.

Mahua is a derivative of the Glymur SoC. Extend the
Glymur driver to support Mahua by:
1. Adding new node definitions for interconnects that differ from Glymur
(Config NoC, High-Speed Coherent NoC, PCIe West ANOC/Slave NoC).
2. Reusing existing Glymur definitions for identical NoCs.
3. Overriding the channel and buswidth, with Mahua specific values for
the differing NoCs

This is the exact same thing as the 'alloc_obj()' version, only much
smaller because there are a lot fewer users of the *alloc_flex()
interface.
As with alloc_obj() version, this was done entirely with mindless brute
force, using the same script, except using 'flex' in the pattern rather
than 'objs*'.

This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using
git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'
to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.
Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.
For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:
Single allocations: kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)
Array allocations: kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)
Flex array allocations: kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)
(where TYPE may also be *VAR)
The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

The qxm_nsp node is configured with an incorrect num_links value,
causing remoteproc driver to fail probing because it cannot acquire the
interconnect path for qxm_nsp -> ebi. This results in the following
error in dmesg:
platform 26300000.remoteproc: deferred probe pending:
qcom_q6v5_pas: failed to acquire interconnect path
Set num_links to 2 to match the two link_nodes, allowing remoteproc
clients to obtain the correct path handle and vote on qxm_nsp -> ebi.

The interconnect framework currently lacks in-tree unit tests to verify
the core logic in isolation. This makes it difficult to validate
regression stability when modifying the provider/consumer APIs or
aggregation logic.
Introduce a kunit test suite that verifies the fundamental behavior of
the subsystem. The tests cover:
- Provider API (node creation, linking, topology construction).
- Consumer API (path enabling/disabling, bandwidth requests).
- Standard aggregation logic (accumulating bandwidth across links).
- Bulk operations for setting bandwidth on multiple paths.
The suite simulates a simple SoC topology with multiple masters and a
shared bus to validate traffic aggregation behavior in a controlled
software environment, without requiring specific hardware or Device
Tree support.

The debugfs_create_str() API assumes that the string pointer is either NULL
or points to valid kmalloc() memory. Leaving the pointer uninitialized can
cause problems.
Initialize src_node and dst_node to empty strings before creating the
debugfs entries to guarantee that reads and writes are safe.

By using a regular non-overflow-checking add, the MediaTek icc-emi
driver will happy wrap at U32_MAX + 1 to 0. As it's common for the
interconnect core to fill in INT_MAX values, this is not a hypothetical
situation, but something that actually happens in regular use. This
would be pretty disasterous if anything used this driver.
Replace the addition with an overflow-checked addition from overflow.h,
and saturate to U32_MAX if an overflow is detected.

If the intention is that users of the interconnect declare their
relationship to the child icc_emi node of the dvfsrc controller, then
this code never worked. That's because it uses the parent dvfsrc device
as the device it passes to the interconnect core framework, which means
all the OF parsing is broken.
Use the actual device instead, and pass the dvfsrc parent into the
dvfsrc calls.

Enable QoS configuration for master ports with predefined values for
priority and urgency forwarding.
While this does require some "clocks" to be specified in devicetree to
work correctly, thanks to ".qos_requires_clocks = true," this is
backwards compatible with old DT as QoS programming will be skipped for
aggre1_noc and aggre2_noc when clocks are not provided.

Since commit 57eb14779dfd ("interconnect: qcom: icc-rpmh: Support child
NoC device probe") the icc-rpmh driver supports initializing child NoCs,
but those child NoCs also need to be able to get the parent's regmap in
order to enable QoS.
Change the driver to support that and support programming QoS register.

Declaring link_nodes as a double-pointer results in a syntax sugar in

This enables QoS configuration for QNOC type device which can be found
on SA8775P platform. It enables QoS configuration for master ports with
predefined priority and urgency forwarding. This helps in prioritizing
the traffic originating from different interconnect masters at NOC.
The system may function normally without this feature. However, enabling
QoS helps optimize latency and bandwidth across subsystems like CPU, GPU,
and multimedia engines, which becomes important in high-throughput
scenarios. This is a feature aimed at performance enhancement to improve
system performance under concurrent workloads.

Drop the QPIC interconnect and BCM nodes for the SDX75 SoC. The reason
is that this QPIC BCM resource is already defined as a RPMh clock in
clk-rpmh driver as like other SDX SoCs. So it is wrong to describe the
same resource in two different providers.
Also, without this series, the NAND driver fails to probe on SDX75 as
the interconnect sync state disables the QPIC nodes as there were no
clients voting for this ICC resource. However, the NAND driver had already
voted for this BCM resource through the clk-rpmh driver. Since both votes
come from Linux, RPMh was unable to distinguish between these two and ends
up disabling the resource during sync state.

The lack of the interconnects for the USB2 host might result in the
register writes for the PHY not reaching the PHY and thus the PLL not
locking up, resulting in -EBUSY errors for the USB host on the platform.
Add missing interconnect link and add interconnect paths to the USB2

The icc_commit_set() function, used by the debugfs interface, checks
the validity of the global cur_path pointer using IS_ERR_OR_NULL().
However, in the specific case where cur_path is NULL, while
IS_ERR_OR_NULL(NULL) correctly evaluates to true, the subsequent call
to PTR_ERR(NULL) returns 0.
This causes the function to return a success code (0) instead of an
error, misleading the user into believing their bandwidth request was
successfully committed when, in fact, no operation was performed.
Fix this by adding an explicit check to return -EINVAL if cur_path is
NULL. This prevents silent failures and ensures that an invalid
operational sequence is immediately and clearly reported as an error.

As like other SDX SoCs, SDX75 SoC's QPIC BCM resource was modeled as a
RPMh clock in clk-rpmh driver. However, for SDX75, this resource was also
described as an interconnect and BCM node mistakenly. It is incorrect to
describe the same resource in two different providers, as it will lead to
votes from clients overriding each other.
Hence, drop the QPIC interconnect and BCM nodes and let the clients use
clk-rpmh driver to vote for this resource.
Without this change, the NAND driver fails to probe on SDX75, as the
interconnect sync state disables the QPIC nodes as there were no clients
voting for this ICC resource. However, the NAND driver had already voted
for this BCM resource through the clk-rpmh driver. Since both votes come
from Linux, RPMh was unable to distinguish between these two and ends up
disabling the QPIC resource during sync state.

The 'icc_bw_lock' mutex is introduced in commit af42269c3523
("interconnect: Fix locking for runpm vs reclaim") in order to decouple
serialization of bw aggregation from codepaths that require memory
allocation.
However commit d30f83d278a9 ("interconnect: core: Add dynamic id

When memory allocation fails during creating the name of the nodes in
icc_clk_register(), the code continues on the error path and it calls
icc_nodes_remove() to destroy the already created nodes. However that
function only destroys the nodes which were already added to the provider
and the newly created nodes are never destroyed in case of error.
In order to avoid a memory leaks, change the code to destroy the newly
created nodes explicitly in case of memory allocation failures.

Since commit d30f83d278a9 ("interconnect: core: Add dynamic id allocation
support"), interconnect node ids greater than or equal to ICC_DYN_ID_START
are reserved for dynamic id allocation. Yet the icc_node_create_nolock()
function allows to directly use such ids for creating nodes. This can
cause problems by executing dynamic id related codepaths even for nodes
intended to use static ids.
For example, the 'nsscc-ipq9574' driver creates interconnect nodes with
static ids starting from 19148. Because these ids belongs to the dynamic
id range, the icc_node_add() function replaces the node names
unexpectedly.
The node names looked like this before the change:
# grep nss_cc /sys/kernel/debug/interconnect/interconnect_summary
nss_cc_nssnoc_ppe_clk_master 0 0
nss_cc_nssnoc_ppe_clk_slave 0 0
nss_cc_nssnoc_ppe_cfg_clk_master 0 0

And those have an unexpected suffix now:

Increase the value of ICC_DYN_ID_START to avoid this.
Also, add sanity check to the icc_node_create_nolock() function to prevent
directly creating nodes with ids reserved for dynamic allocation in order
to detect these kind of problems.

Add Epoch Subsystem (EPSS) L3 provider support on SA8775P SoCs.
Current interconnect framework is based on static IDs for creating node
and registering with framework. This becomes a limitation for topologies
where there are multiple instances of same interconnect provider.
Modified interconnect framework APIs to create and link icc node with
dynamic IDs, this will help to overcome the dependency on static IDs.

The mc_virt & clk_virt nodes are virtual and doesn't have associated registers,
thus the regmap config will fail with:
qnoc-sm8650 interconnect-0: error -EINVAL: invalid resource (null)
Remove the regmap config since QoS will never be applied to those virtual
nodes.

To facilitate dynamic id allocation, discard the static IDs
from node data and set alloc_dyn_id in descriptor structure
to indicate dynamic ID allocation. Update the topology to use
node pointers for links instead of static IDs and forward declare
the node pointer to avoid undefined references.

Interconnect framework relies on static IDs for creating,
linking and maintaning the topology. This dependency on static
IDs prevents creating two instances of same provider. To overcome
the dependency on static IDs, dynamic ID support is being added.
To facilitate dynamic node ID support, the driver now uses
node pointers for links instead of static node IDs and icc_node
pointer is added as member in qcom_icc_node structure to track
the node creation.

EPSS on SA8775P has two instances, necessitating the creation of two
device nodes with different compatibles due to the unique ICC node ID
and name limitations in the interconnect framework. Add multidevice
support for the OSM-L3 provider to dynamically obtain unique node IDs
and register with the framework.
EPSS topology includes a single master-slave pair within the same
provider, the node linking logic is simplified by directly connecting
the master node to the slave node.

The current interconnect framework relies on static IDs for node
creation and registration, which limits topologies with multiple
instances of the same interconnect provider. To address this,
introduce icc_node_create_dyn() and icc_link_nodes() APIs to
dynamically allocate IDs for interconnect nodes during creation
and link. This change removes the dependency on static IDs,
allowing multiple instances of the same hardware, such as EPSS L3.

After commit 0edb555a65d1 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove()
return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for
platform drivers.
Convert all platform drivers below drivers/interconnect to use
.remove(), with the eventual goal to drop struct
platform_driver::remove_new(). As .remove() and .remove_new() have the
same prototypes, conversion is done by just changing the structure
member name in the driver initializer.

The msm-5.x kernels have additional display RSC and separate display BCM
voter. Since upstream kernel doesn't yet provide display RSC, we end up
duplicating several nodes, which can result in incorrect votes being
cast. Drop *_DISP nodes.

With the new __counted_by annotation, the "num_nodes" struct member must
be set before accessing the "nodes" array. This initialization was done
in other places where a new struct icc_onecell_data is allocated, but this
case in icc_clk_register() was missed. Set "num_nodes" after allocation.

Presently, icc-clk driver autogenerates the master and slave ids.
However, devices with multiple nodes on the interconnect could
have other constraints and may not match with the auto generated
node ids.
Hence, modify the driver to use the master/slave ids provided by
the caller instead of auto generating.
Also, update clk-cbf-8996 accordingly.

This series adds QoS support for QNOC type device which can be found on
SC7280 platform. It adds support for programming priority,
priority forward disable and urgency forwarding. This helps in
priortizing the traffic originating from different interconnect masters
at NOC (Network On Chip).

Add qos_clks_required flag to skip QoS configuration if clocks property
is not populated in devicetree for providers which require clocks to be
enabled for accessing registers. This is to keep the QoS configuration
backwards compatible with devices that have older DTB.

Add driver for interconnect busses found in MSM8953 based platforms.
The topology consists of four NoCs that are partially controlled by a
RPM processor.
Note that one of NoCs (System NoC) has a counterpart (System NoC MM)
that is modelled as child device to avoid resource conflicts, since it
uses same MMIO space for configuration.

MediaTek DVFSRC Bus Bandwidth and Regulator knobs
This series adds support for the MediaTek Dynamic Voltage and Frequency
Scaling Resource Controller (DVFSRC), found on many MediaTek SoCs.
This hardware collects requests from both software and the various remote
processors embededd into the SoC, and decides about a minimum operating
voltage and a minimum DRAM frequency to fulfill those requests, in an
effort to provide the best achievable performance per watt.
Such hardware IP is capable of transparently performing direct register
R/W on all of the DVFSRC-controlled regulators and SoC bandwidth knobs.

With the rework of how the __string() handles dynamic strings where it
saves off the source string in field in the helper structure[1], the
assignment of that value to the trace event field is stored in the helper
value and does not need to be passed in again.
This means that with:
__string(field, mystring)
Which use to be assigned with __assign_str(field, mystring), no longer
needs the second parameter and it is unused. With this, __assign_str()
will now only get a single parameter.
There's over 700 users of __assign_str() and because coccinelle does not
handle the TRACE_EVENT() macro I ended up using the following sed script:

mv /tmp/test-file $a;
done
I then searched for __assign_str() that did not end with ';' as those
were multi line assignments that the sed script above would fail to catch.
Note, the same updates will need to be done for:

__assign_rel_str()
__assign_rel_str_len()
I tested this with both an allmodconfig and an allyesconfig (build only for both).

When I was creating this driver, my bright mind overlooked the existence
of desc->qos_offset and decided to make up for the difference it made by
adding 21 (0x15) to the port index on SNoC and its downstream buses.
Undo this mistake to make the indices actually mean something.

The icc_lock mutex was split into separate icc_lock and icc_bw_lock
mutexes in [1] to avoid lockdep splats. However, this didn't adequately
protect access to icc_node::req_list.
The icc_set_bw() function will eventually iterate over req_list while
only holding icc_bw_lock, but req_list can be modified while only
holding icc_lock. This causes races between icc_set_bw(), of_icc_get(),
and icc_put().

Fix this by ensuring icc_bw_lock is always held before manipulating
icc_node::req_list. The additional places icc_bw_lock is held don't
perform any memory allocations, so we should still be safe from the
original lockdep splats that motivated the separate locks.

The downstream kernel has infrastructure for passing votes from different
interconnect nodes onto different RPMh RSCs. This neither implemented, not
is going to be implemented upstream (in favor of a different solution
using ICC tags through the same node).
Unfortunately, as it happens, meaningless (in the upstream context) parts
of the vendor driver were copied, ending up causing havoc - since all
"per-RSC" (in quotes because they all point to the main APPS one) BCMs
defined within the driver overwrite the value in RPMh on every
aggregation.
To both avoid keeping bogus code around and possibly introducing
impossible-to-track-down bugs (busses shutting down for no reason), get
rid of the duplicated BCMs and their associated ICC nodes.

Add driver for interconnect busses found in MSM8909 based platforms.
The topology consists of three NoCs that are partially controlled by
a RPM processor.
In the downstream/vendor kernel from Qualcomm there is an additional
"mm-snoc". However, it actually ends up using the same RPM "snoc_clk"
as the normal "snoc". It looks like this is actually the same NoC
in hardware and the "mm-snoc" was only defined to assign a different
"qcom,util-fact" to increase bandwidth requests by a static margin.
In mainline we can represent this by assigning the equivalent "ab_coeff"
to all the nodes that are part of "mm-snoc" downstream.

The CO0 BCM needs to be up at all times, otherwise some hardware (like
the UFS controller) loses its connection to the rest of the SoC,
resulting in a hang of the platform, accompanied by a spectacular
logspam.
Mark it as keepalive to prevent such cases.

Per the commit message of commit 'dd014803f260 ("interconnect: qcom:
icc-rpm: Add AB/IB calculations coefficients")', the peak rate should be
100/ib_percent. But, in what looks like a typical typo, the numerator
value is discarded in the calculation.
Update the implementation to match the described intention.

This series converts all platform drivers below drivers/interconnect to
use .remove_new(). Compared to the traditional .remove() callback
.remove_new() returns no value. This is a good thing because the driver
core doesn't (and cannot) cope for errors during remove. The only effect
of a non-zero return value in .remove() is that the driver core emits a
warning. The device is removed anyhow and an early return from .remove()
usually yields resource leaks and/or use-after-free bugs.
See commit 5c5a7680e67b ("platform: Provide a remove callback that
returns no value") for an extended explanation and the eventual goal.
All drivers converted here already returned zero unconditionally in
.remove(), so they are converted here trivially. The imx drivers could
be slightly simplified, because the remove callback only called a single
function with the same prototype as .remove_new().

Currently, if provider->xlate() or provider->xlate_extended()
"successfully" return a NULL node, then of_icc_get_from_provider() won't
consider that an error and will successfully return the NULL node. This
bypasses error handling in of_icc_get_by_index() and leads to NULL
dereferences in path_find().
This could be avoided by ensuring provider callbacks always return an
error for NULL nodes, but it's better to explicitly protect against this
in the common framework.
