How AI was used in this PR
Written with Claude Code, driven by design iteration rather than a spec: I described the behaviour I wanted, reviewed each pass in the running app, and sent it back when the result was wrong. Copy, state table, and the visual treatment of the status text were revised several times this way. I've read the diff.
Proposed Changes
VERY MUCH VISUALLY UNDESIGNED -- think of it as a sketch :)
This is a draft for discussion, not a finished change. It's a working prototype of a direction the site header could take — the shape is worth reacting to, the details are still moving, and a couple of things listed below have to come out before it could merge.
Site actions used to live behind a dropdown whose trigger read as a status indicator. Nothing about it invited a click, so publishing, pushing, pulling, and preview links were all effectively hidden behind a control that looked like it was only reporting.
The site now has a permanent header: who you're working on and what state it's in on the left, what you can do about it on the right.
