No, Your guitar should work right out of the box, if your whammy bar does not need manual recalibration and you do not wish to change any RGB settings, it's not necessary to download.
No, your guitar is now hardwired into a single unit. Please DO NOT REMOVE THE NECK! If the neck is removed, board re-soldering will be required!
(Certain Guitars have enough slack in the neck fret cable management to allow faceplate exchange, if you are not comfortable please do not attempt to remove your faceplate) ex. Les Paul, World Tour, etc.)
Your guitar is tuned in 1 of our 3 custom configurations (with more to come) The DFNT ID card that arrived in your box will tell you which tuning your guitar has,
Alternatively you can open the DFNT Mod Tool v1 with your guitar plugged in and it will tell you.

Some guitars may come with a console Auth cable pre-installed, and some will not.
If your guitar is not connecting to a specific console after properly attempting to enter it's
respective mode, you may need to add an Auth cable or an appropriate adapter.
If your controller is not recognized immediately by your game ( CloneHero, YARG, WT:DFE, Better GH3, Fret Smasher, Fortnite Festival, Etc. ) You might need to map your guitar inside of the game manually (Xinput controller mapping).
Fortnite Festival requires keyboard mode to be enabled, we will upload a tutorial on this as soon as we can.
If your controller is not recognized immediately by your device, You will want to download the DFNT Mod Tool v1 via our GitHub (link) (If you don't already have it) and Factory Reset your Guitar to it's default configuration (Jessica, Betty, or Janie), Your guitar will have come with information inside of the box that has your shipped configuration details.

Your whammy has been calibrated to Default CloneHero Axis settings. Before considering
manual recalibration through the Mod Tool, we suggest ensuring your whammy axis is set to Default in CH.

Our guitars are set to the highest polling rate (1000Hz, lowest latency), with each guitar tested thoroughly and tuned to perfection, with a default lighting scheme (Green Red Yellow Blue Orange) or color themed lighting depending on each individual guitar.
If you would like to change any of your settings, the DFNT Mod Tool v1 can be downloaded via our GitHub (Link).
The Tool is a controller configurator build of 'Santroller' made specifically for the use of configuring DFNT's custom guitar controllers. If you have any experience with Santroller Configurators you will be right at home, and if you are new, we find it highly intuitive to learn, but of course if you have any questions about your guitar or the DFNT Mod Tool v1 please reach out to dfntsupport@gmail.com
