Software Engineer | Python & Django Developer | HPC SysAdmin / DevOps

πŸ‘‹Hi there!

I'm Wes, a software engineer with strong experience in Python-based full stack development and Linux infrastructure, currently working in High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments at Instituto Butantan.

I design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous processing pipelines, frequently operating in critical production environments that handle large-scale scientific and biological data.

My work often involves integrating web applications with complex infrastructure, including containerized services, job schedulers, and distributed workloads, ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability.

I hold a degree in Systems Analysis and Development (FATEC-SP) and a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology (University of SΓ£o Paulo – USP), which allows me to bridge software engineering best practices with scientific, data-driven problem solving.

πŸš€ What I Work With

  • Backend & Full-Stack development with Python
  • Django applications following clean architecture principles
  • RESTful APIs and asynchronous processing
  • Celery + RabbitMQ for distributed workloads
  • Linux servers, HPC clusters (SLURM), and automation
  • Containers, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
  • Scientific computing & bioinformatics pipelines
