Description of issue
Typing is good. Forgetting to do typing is bad.
Description of solution
Ensure we remember to add type hints always by using
strict. There is contention in the community about whether to type tests, but I find it worthwhile. Especially when pytest fixtures occasionally cause hiccups during development (e.g. by referencing a fixture that hasn't been added as a test function argument), typing can sometimes help figure that out more quickly.
