Most business software adds one more system to manage. We build the one that makes the systems you already have work together.
DevShell One is our platform for small and mid-sized companies. It holds a business's data, knowledge, processes, people and decisions in a single model, so the software and the people work from the same picture of the business instead of reconciling four partial ones.
The next generation of business software is not more screens — it is agents doing the work. An agent is only as useful as the context it can reach, and only as safe as the permissions it can be trusted with. We built that substrate first, and two properties of it are why this is not another suite:
- Product actions are available to agents under the customer's own identity and permissions. The same rules that govern a person using a module govern an agent acting on their behalf — authenticated, scoped and logged. In beta today for the finance and project modules.
- Nothing in the architecture requires a third-party AI provider. The models can run on the same infrastructure as the platform, so the reasoning and the data stay where the data already lives.
Salons and beauty studios run their operation on DevShell One: appointments, professionals, inventory, commissions and point of sale, with confirmations going out on their own. That vertical is a configuration of the platform rather than a separate product — one codebase, one data model. The next ones are built on the same base.
The agent runtime behind the assistant is open source, MIT: mend3/daimon.
Started in 2023, to make life simpler for the people and companies that depend on software to get their work done.
