I am not getting the option to upload my documents through my local machine, I am only able to click picture via my webcam.

This is actually intended behavior, not a bug. GitHub has updated their verification process to require live camera capture in most regions to ensure the authenticity of documents and prevent digital editing.

Since you cannot upload a file directly from your machine, you have two options:

1. Print your document: Print out your transcript or ID and hold it up to the webcam to take the picture.
2. Digital Display: Open your document (PDF/Image) on a different device (like a phone or tablet), hold that device up to your webcam, and take a picture of the screen.

Just ensure that the text is clearly readable and not obscured by glare or your fingers.

I tried the second option, but it didn’t work for me. The quality of the photo ends up looking much worse than what I see in the preview.

Use a secondary device like a smartphone and open the specific document with full brightness and pan it near the camera for accurate results
