I opened a few issues earlier in this repository but I am unable to find them easily now.
Is there a way to filter issues by my username or view all issues created by me?
Please let me know the correct approach.

Yes — GitHub gives you a couple of easy ways to find issues you created.

Option 1: Filter inside a repository

1. Go to the repository → Issues
2. In the search bar, type:
   author:your-username
   (replace your-username with your GitHub username)

You can also combine filters, for example:

• author:your-username is:open
• author:your-username is:closed

Option 2: View all issues you’ve created across GitHub
Go to:
https://github.com/issues

Then use this filter in the search bar:

author:your-username

You can add more filters like:

• is:open
• is:issue
• repo:owner/repo-name

Option 3: Use the built-in “Created” filter
On the global issues page (https://github.com/issues), there’s also a Created tab that shows issues you’ve opened.

Go to your GitHub profile then to Issues to see all issues you’ve opened across repositories.
You can use the global Issues search the bar at the top and apply the author: filter there.
