Backend engineer focused on building reliable, maintainable systems. I spend most of my time writing Go, thinking about distributed systems, and occasionally going down infrastructure rabbit holes at 2am.
- Go — primary language, day-to-day work
- Python — scripting, tooling, data wrangling
- TypeScript — when the frontend can't be avoided
- Infra/DevOps — Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD pipelines
- Databases — PostgreSQL mostly, some Redis and Kafka thrown in
- Building CLI tools that make local dev and deployment workflows less painful
- Exploring reliability patterns — retries, circuit breakers, graceful degradation
- Reading more about consensus algorithms than is probably healthy
