What’s happening? Thanks to an oversubscribed round led by Japan’s Orico, Honest now has US$100 million in total equity funding. It also bagged US$40 million in debt financing from Mizuho Bank. Oversubscribed = strong investor trust (hopefully, customer confidence too) Why the money’s coming in: <3% of Indonesians own a credit card → massive untapped market Honest is the only fintech firm with a credit card license in Indonesia Major investors like XYZ Venture Capital have backed it Why it matters: Honest’s over 90% approval → millions gain credit access Safer alternative to predatory loans Partnerships enable customized credit solutions across Indonesia Honest wants to flip the script: quick approvals, digital-first, and partnerships that unlock credit for millions. It’s still the only fintech firm in Indonesia with a credit card license. And with fewer than 3% of Indonesians owning a credit card, the market remains largely untapped - that’s millions of potential new cardholders. With its latest funding, Honest now has US$100 million in total equity to push its agenda.
