Amit kumar shared thisIt’s an honor to be featured in the official Google Chrome for Developers recap of Google I/O Connect India 2026. 🙏 Sharing the stage with the Chrome DevTools team and demonstrating how we use DevTools for Agents at redBus to reduce RUM issue resolution time from hours to minutes was a memorable experience. Beyond the talk, the best part was engaging with developers at the booth and during the workshop—seeing firsthand how AI is transforming the way we build, debug, and ship software. A huge thank you to Matthias Rohmer , the Chrome DevTools team, and everyone at Google who made this event so special. Looking forward to continuing to push the boundaries of AI-powered developer workflows together. #GoogleIOConnect #ChromeDevTools #AI #WebDevelopment #DeveloperTools #redBus #EngineeringAmit kumar shared thisBringing the latest web capabilities directly to the developers building the future of the web is what we live for. Today we're handing the channel over to Chrome DevRel Engineer Matthias Rohmer as he shares his favorite highlights, demo floor buzz, and personal takeaways from his very first trip to India for #GoogleIOConnect in Bengaluru!

Amit kumar shared thisGoogle I/O Connect India 2026 💙❤️💛💚 Some moments in your career stay with you. This was one of them. Standing on the Chrome Stage at Google I/O Connect India 2026, alongside Matthias Rohmer, we spoke about something I've been deeply passionate about over the past year: Creating a Closed Feedback Loop: Chrome DevTools for Agents. AI has become incredibly good at generating code. But building production-ready web experiences requires much more than code generation—it requires understanding what's actually happening inside the browser. Our session explored how Chrome DevTools MCP enables AI agents to inspect pages, reproduce issues, validate fixes, measure performance, and continuously learn from the browser itself. That closed feedback loop is what transforms an AI assistant into an engineering teammate. At redBus, this isn't just something we demonstrated on stage. We're already using #WebMCP in production, our internal #RUM platform helps engineers diagnose and resolve real #CoreWebVitals issues faster. Instead of simply identifying that something is wrong, we're enabling AI to understand browser context, reproduce problems, suggest fixes, and verify improvements before changes reach production. We're also exploring and adopting Built-in AI capabilities in Chrome, applying them thoughtfully across different business experiences where they create meaningful value for our users. Another proud moment was seeing redBus featured during the #GoogleI/O Connect #India keynote. Watching the work of our engineering teams being recognized on the keynote stage was incredibly rewarding. Adding to the excitement, we also had a redBus booth at the event, where we showcased how AI, browser capabilities, and performance engineering are coming together to build the next generation of web experiences. It was wonderful interacting with developers, exchanging ideas, and discussing where the browser ecosystem is headed. A huge thank you to Matthias Rohmer for being an amazing co-speaker and collaborator throughout this journey. Special thanks to Saurabh Rajpal and Hadyan Andika for their continuous guidance, encouragement, and for helping us stay at the forefront of the rapidly evolving browser ecosystem. Your support and insights have been invaluable. A heartfelt thank you to Anoop Menon, and Rithish Saralaya for constantly encouraging research, experimentation, and innovation within the browser ecosystem. Your trust and support make it possible to take ideas from exploration to production. The conversations throughout the day reinforced one thing: The future of web development isn't just AI writing code. It's AI that can observe, understand, validate, and improve what happens inside the browser. We're only getting started. 🚀 #GoogleIOConnect #GoogleIOConnectIndia #Chrome #ChromeDevTools #WebMCP #BuiltInAI #CoreWebVitals #WebPerformance #ModernWeb #redBus #GoogleChrome #Innovation

As AI becomes part of the development workflow, one question stands out: "How can AI leverage Chrome DevTools to understand performance issues, identify root causes, and suggest fixes directly from the IDE?" That's exactly what we'll explore in this session at Google I/O Connect India 2026 alongside Matthias Rohmer from the Chrome DevTools team. 'Creating a Closed Feedback Loop - Chrome DevTools for Agents' In this session, we'll demonstrate how Chrome DevTools MCP (Model Context Protocol) enables AI assistants to: ⚡ Diagnose failures with rich browser context ➰ Create a closed feedback loop where agents can observe, reason, act, verify, and improve autonomously We'll also share how we're leveraging these capabilities at redBus to build more reliable web application with high performance. A big thank you to the Google Chrome team for collaborating on this session. It's exciting to see browser tooling evolve to support the next generation of AI-powered applications. 📍 Google I/O Connect India 2026 📅 14th July 2026 ⏰ 12:15 PM – 12:55 PM If you're attending the event, we'd love to connect after the session and hear how you're building AI-powered web applications. At our demo booth, we'll be showcasing how we're reimagining travel discovery using the latest AI capabilities on the web and Native apps. Here's what we'll be demonstrating: Ray - redBus AI Assistant using Google ADK and Gemini A conversational travel assistant that helps users discover buses, plan journeys, compare options, and navigate the booking experience using natural language. WebMCP - We're exploring how the Model Context Protocol (MCP) can enable AI agents to understand and interact with web applications in a structured, reliable, and secure way, unlocking entirely new user experiences beyond traditional chat interfaces. Built-in AI in the Browser - From on-device AI capabilities to browser-native intelligence, we're experimenting with how Chrome's emerging AI APIs can deliver faster, more private, and context-aware experiences without always depending on the cloud. The most exciting part isn't just adding AI to an application. Amit kumar reposted thisAmit kumar reposted thisMakeMyTrip Group announced Q4 and full year FY26 results last week. Here's a snapshot of how the bus ticketing vertical performed (YoY, constant currency): Q4 FY26 (Jan–Mar 2026) 🎟️ Bus tickets: ↑ 28% to 36.8 million 💵 Gross Bookings: ↑ 23% to $403.5 million 💰 Revenue (Adjusted Margin): ↑ 17% to $41.1 million (Q4 growth is measured against a high base — Maha Kumbh Mela in February 2025 meaningfully boosted bus travel in the comparable quarter.) Full Year FY26 (Apr 2025–Mar 2026) 🎟️ Bus tickets: ↑ 33% to 141.5 million 💵 Gross Bookings: ↑ 33% to $1.6 billion 💰 Revenue (Adjusted Margin): ↑ 29% to $163.9 million Crossing 141 million bus tickets in a single year is a marker of just how much ground transport is happening—across India and in our international markets spanning Southeast Asia and Latin America—quietly, daily and at scale. The consistent growth across quarters reflects an expanding traveller base, a supply side that is increasingly digital, and markets that remain large and still under-penetrated. We look forward to continuing to build the digital infrastructure for safe, comfortable and connected bus travel across all our markets.

Amit kumar liked thisSo aptly put by Prakash, "The redBus standard" - Not about chasing perfection, but about committing to be better every day! As redBus turns 20, we would like to express our gratitude to our various partners in engineering. You help us be better, every day!Amit kumar liked thisYesterday, redBus turned 20! Twenty years is a milestone worth celebrating. And celebrate we did; with our entire redBus team in India coming together for an evening of memories, pride, laughter and celebration. But as I thought about what I wanted to say to our team on this occasion, I kept coming back to a conversation I once had with MS Dhoni about motivation. He made an interesting observation. In cricket, he said, even the longest game lasts just five days. There is an end, a result and then you reset for the next game. Building a company is different. The game never really ends. So the challenge to play it well, year after year. There will always be milestones — revenue, profitability, market share, valuation, anniversaries. They matter and we should celebrate them. But they don't define the game. So what should? For our next chapter, I found myself thinking about what I would call The redBus Standard. The redBus Standard is the high bar we set for ourselves and more importantly, the bar we keep raising. It isn't a number or a target. It is a commitment we make to ourselves that every day, we will do what we do a little better than we did yesterday. That applies whether we are writing code, serving a customer, helping a partner grow, designing a product, building a team or leading the company. Not perfection. But progress, every day. There is something reassuringly familiar about this idea. For years, our employee promise has been “Better You Everyday.” I have come to realise that it isn't just an employee promise. It is, in many ways, the philosophy of redBus itself. And there is evidence that this philosophy works. I often talk internally about the Rule of 40; a widely used benchmark that balances growth and profitability. redBus has consistently operated well above that benchmark. But the higher the standard you set, the harder you have to work simply to keep meeting it. That is why R40 is not our ambition. It is our report card. The ambition is to keep raising the standard. Today, after the celebrations are over, it is back to an ordinary working day. And perhaps that's appropriate. Because great companies aren't built on anniversary days. They are built on ordinary Wednesdays. By each one of us choosing to raise the bar. The redBus Standard. Better Everyday. Happy 20th, redBus! ❤️

Manoj Kumar, VP Engineering at redBus, built the quality infrastructure to guarantee exactly that at scale. In this episode of Amazon Web Services (AWS) GenAI Tech Talks, Manoj breaks down how redBus built a model evaluation framework on Amazon Bedrock that scores every response from its natural-language booking assistant across eleven quality dimensions using a panel of judge models, all through a single API without managing a single GPU. The shift from on-premises GPU evaluation to Bedrock batch inference delivered continuous quality assurance that scales with traffic and pays only for what is evaluated. BUILD BRAND FACTOR

This brand almost failed before India needed it most. Vijay Shekhar Sharma. Founder of Paytm. Founded in 2010. Started with just $2 million. It began small. Mobile recharges. Not a fintech giant. Just a simple solution. The Challenges India was cash-first. Digital payments were rare. Trust was low. Merchants were hesitant. Users were skeptical. Adoption was slow. Very slow. How He Faced It Vijay didn’t chase hype. He chased distribution. Focused on small merchants. Built simple QR payments. Removed friction. Educated users. Then came 2016. Demonetisation. A sudden behavioral shift. Paytm was ready. And it scaled fast. Key Learnings • Preparation beats timing • Simplicity drives adoption • Distribution builds dominance Today, Paytm is massive. • 7.4 crore+ users • 74 million+ monthly transacting users • 1.3 crore+ merchants onboarded • ₹5.39 lakh crore GMV • ₹2,000+ crore quarterly revenue • Back to profitability Paytm is no longer just an app. It’s infrastructure. It’s habit. It’s how India pays. What builds stronger tech brands vision or execution? 🚨 India’s CAC Crisis — and the “Jugaad” That Might Save It Bharat’s D2C story is quietly bleeding money on something very few like to talk about — 👉 Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) In the West, CAC is a metric. In Bharat, CAC decides who survives. 💸 Average CAC for Indian D2C brands: ₹500–₹2,000 per customer 🛒 Average Order Value (AOV): ₹500–₹1,500 for most mass categories 📉 For many, marketing eats up 40–60% of revenue Sometimes you’re literally spending more to get a customer than what their first order is worth. Why is Bharat so brutal for CAC? — We’re not California. — We’re Cuttack + Coimbatore + Kolkata + Kanpur. 1️⃣ Digital ad inflation: Meta & Google CPMs have almost doubled in 3 years. You’re bidding against political parties, EdTechs, and trading/crypto bros. 2️⃣ COD dependence: ~60% of online shoppers still prefer Cash on Delivery — not all orders become real revenue. 3️⃣ Regional fragmentation: 20+ languages, 100+ subcultures. One creative ≠ one India. 4️⃣ Trust gap: People trust their WhatsApp groups, not your Instagram carousel. 5️⃣ Cheap data, expensive attention: Bharat scrolls endlessly, clicks rarely. End result: marketing ≈ survival tax. That’s not growth. That’s a treadmill. So what’s the way out? Maybe not more ads. Maybe more alliances. 💥 Brand × Brand Collabs could be Bharat’s most underrated CAC hack. 🤝 Shared CAC: Split ad spend, double your reach. 🌱 Trust transfer: Partner credibility converts faster than cold ads. 💰 Bundled AOV: Your ₹1,000 + their ₹1,000 = ₹2,000 basket → same CAC, double revenue. 🌍 Regional reach: Work with local brands who already speak Bharat’s language. But let’s be honest — It’s not a "strawberry" 🍓 world. Brand-to-brand collabs sound dreamy — until reality hits: ⚙️ Tech: syncing inventory, offers, payments, and customer journeys is no joke. 📑 Legal: who owns the data, the customer, the liability? 🚚 Ops: who handles fulfilment, refunds, and customer support? 💳 Payments: how do you split settlements when both brands sell in one checkout? 🎨 Branding: how do you make it seamless without losing each brand’s voice? 🤝 Trust: how do you ensure one partner’s misstep doesn’t become your PR mess? And that’s the space I’m curious about right now — how can brand-to-brand collaborations actually work in Bharat, Not as PR stunts, but as a real, repeatable, revenue channel. 🧩 If you’re a D2C/brand operator who’s tried (or dreamed of) a brand-to-brand collab, share your story in comments or feel free to DM me. What worked, what didn’t? #CAC #D2C #CustomerAcquisition #IndiaStartups #Bharat #EcommerceGrowth #BrandCollaboration
