Rahul Saini reposted thisRahul Saini reposted this📣Hiring Product Designers at Alt Inc Good designers are a cheat code. They are dreamers + doers. Their thinking is unconstrained and some times, the right kind of unhinged. Which is why AI-native designers are lethal. Weapons of mass creation. They can dream->design->prototype->test. They are not beholden to wet blanket engineers or product managers, who think their ideas are unviable. And that’s the kind of designer we are looking for. Driven, creative, proficient. If you are a designer sparking with ideas, come let’s set some fires. If you are not a designer, please share this post instead :) Apply on our website: https://alt.inc/

Rahul Saini liked thisRahul Saini liked thisI’m pleased to announce that Dryp has signed a partnership agreement with Flooid 🎉 As part of the partnership, Dryp will integrate with Flooid’s platform, enabling its retail customers to offer Dryp as a payment option through the POS systems they already use. For Dryp, this represents the beginning of a much wider distribution strategy. Building a new payment network isn’t only about creating the technology - it’s about creating enough acceptance for consumers to use Dryp as part of their everyday spending. By distributing Dryp through established POS platforms such as Flooid, we can increase the number of locations where consumers can pay with Dryp and earn rewards, without requiring retailers to introduce new checkout hardware. The entire Flooid team has been incredible to work with so far, and we’re excited to progress this integration over the coming months as we work toward some significant announcements in Q4. A huge thank you goes out to Donna Stevens, Jon Stretton and Pat Lonning at Flooid for helping bring the partnership together, and to Andrew Regan and Sumantu Mittal on our side for being instrumental in getting us to this point. This is a major step forward for Dryp. Big things ahead! 🚀💧 #Retail #Payments #Fintech #Dryp #Flooid

Rahul Saini liked thisRahul Saini liked thisPaytm just SAVED me from a ₹15,000 trap!! I was about to pay ₹1 for a trial. Looked simple. Looked harmless. But Paytm showed me something before I entered my PIN. "You are enabling automatic payment of up to ₹15,000." I stopped. Clicked View Details. • Maximum amount up to ₹15,000. End date 12 May 2036 Frequency as per the merchant • That is not a ₹1 payment. That is a 10-year autopay mandate with a ₹15,000 cap. Hidden inside a "just ₹1 trial." • And then on the PIN screen, "X Ai LLC can debit up to ₹15,000.00 through AUTOPAY." Three screens. Three warnings. Same message. Before I could make a mistake. This is exactly what transparent UX looks like. Not just the amount you pay today. But the permission you are giving for the next 10 years. Many people would have entered the PIN without reading it. I almost did. Thank you, Paytm. 💙 #UX #ProductDesign #Paytm #FinancialSafety

Rahul Saini liked thisRahul Saini liked thisHealth has become “the topic” at breakfast, lunch or dinner tables, even in boardrooms. People want to talk about food, workouts, supplements, and which tests they have done recently. A few weeks ago, I went on a short trip with my school friends. We are all in our late forties, and over the two days we spent together, the same thing kept happening. Conversations would start in one place — work, family, a memory from school and somehow circle back to health. One friend was talking about his recovery from an injury. Another was asking about supplements. A third wanted to know what tests he should be getting done at our age. I noticed I was not the one bringing it up. They were. A few years ago, this would have been unusual. Health was something you discussed with your doctor, not your friends over dinner. The shift, I think, has come from a hard place. We're watching people in their 30s and 40s having heart attacks and being diagnosed with conditions that would usually come up in the later stages of life. According to the Indian Heart Association, India accounts for roughly 60% of the world's heart disease burden despite making up less than 20% of its population. India is also the diabetes capital of the world, with the metabolic risk factors that drive cardiac disease — diabetes, hypertension, abdominal obesity — clustering earlier and more aggressively in Indians than in Western populations. Half of all heart attacks in Indian men occur before the age of fifty, and a quarter before forty. (https://lnkd.in/gk5SHTxV) That kind of data lands differently when you are forty-eight. What's concerning is that these conversations are not translating into proactive measures — at least not for men. We are about half as likely as women to see a doctor regularly. Less likely to go in for routine check-ups. Less likely to follow up on symptoms. More likely to walk into a diagnosis only after the condition has been progressing for years. The cultural script has long been to push through and deal with it later. But it is quietly costing us our lives. With longevity increasing, even at fifty, you still have forty to forty-five years ahead of you. That is not the back end of life. That is still the middle. #Wellness #HealthyLiving #MensHealth #Lifestyle

“Rahul was a great resource especially for a lean marketing team like ours. While on one side he was really good at his core strengths i.e. commercial design, crafting layouts and web designing. He had a great ability to understand and translate marketing requirements into tangible deliveries within short time span.”

To design a Product Discovery Sprint for India's Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets, you have to pivot from "Silicon Valley assumptions" (high-speed internet, tech-savvy users, high trust) to "Bharat realities" (low trust, storage anxiety, and social-led discovery). Here is a 5-day Sprint framework tailored for the Indian Tier-2 demographic. Day 1: Contextual Framing (The "Bharat" Lens) In Tier-2 India, the biggest risk isn't just "Value," it's "Trust" and "Storage." The Mission: Define the business objective (e.g., "Increase UPI transactions among small merchants in Indore"). Persona Deep-Dive: Move beyond age/gender. Define your user by their Digital Fluency (e.g., "Assisted Digital" users who need help from kids/neighbors) and Handset Constraints (low RAM, patchy 4G). Stakeholder Map: In India, the "user" isn't always the "buyer." Map out the influencers (family, local shopkeeper). Day 2: Extreme Problem Mapping Don't just map a digital journey; map a Physical-Digital (Phygital) journey. Identify Friction: Where does the internet fail? Where does the user need to ask for help? Language & Voice: 70% of new internet users in India prefer Voice + Vernacular. Decide today if your solution will be "Text-first" or "Audio-visual first." Technique: Use "The Five Whys" to understand deep cultural barriers (e.g., "Why won't they save card details?" → Answer: Fear of hidden charges/fraud). Day 3: Low-Fidelity "Desi" Ideation Skip the high-end Figma designs for now. Focus on Mental Models. Visual Metaphors: Tier-2 users often associate symbols with actions better than words. (e.g., The "WhatsApp Green" represents trust/safety). Design for Low Literacy: Sketch interfaces that use icons, colors, and audio cues. The "Nano-Transaction" Model: Ideate on pricing. Can this be a $0.05 (₹5) sachet-style payment? Day 4: The "Real-World" Prototype SVPG recommends "High-Fidelity" prototypes, but for Tier-2 India, you need a "Contextual Prototype." Constraint Testing: Build a prototype that specifically mimics a low-end Android phone with 2GB RAM. If it looks pretty on an iPhone 16, it’s a failed test. WhatsApp Concierge: Sometimes the best prototype for Bharat isn't an app; it's a WhatsApp Business bot to see if they will even engage with the service. Day 5: The "Gully" Test (Validation) Testing in a lab is useless for this demographic. On-Field Interviews: Go to the local market or home. Observe them using the prototype while they are distracted by noise, kids, or poor lighting. The "Mom Test" (Indian Version): Ask them to perform a task. If they reach out to their son/daughter for help, your Usability Risk is too high. Monetization Check: Don't ask "Would you pay?" ask "Which of these three things would you spend ₹10 on right now?"

One simple personal finance rule- Use the right credit card for the right purchase. Online shopping is one category where the difference is huge. Some cards give 5% cashback on all online purchases, while others reward specific platforms like Amazon or Flipkart. We compared the best options available in India for 2026. Last weekend, Navi x Friends of Figma, Bangalore brought together 100+ designers from across the ecosystem (out of 1,200+ registrations) for an evening focused on What’s Next for Design in Fintech and AI. The evening opened with perspectives from our own team. Akshat Srivastava spoke about Rethinking Product Defaults, while Vaibhav Bhalekar shared how we’re Building the Next Generation of Designers at Navi. Vinayakk Bongarge (ClearTrip) took the conversation further with Designing for Humans vs. Agents. We also hosted a panel on “Designers of Tomorrow: What’s Next for Us?”, moderated by Jay Modi. Varghese Mathew (Razorpay), Aditya K (JPMC), and Ashish Jain (Okta) joined the panel and shared how they see the role of design evolving, and what it will take to stay relevant. What stayed with us was the quality of conversations in the room - grounded in real problems, and shaped by people building in this space every day. Thanks to everyone who joined us and made it a meaningful evening. And to the Friends of Figma community - looking forward to building more together.
