I believed growth came from being involved in every decision and every detail. Over the years, I learned an important lesson: A company cannot truly scale if every decision depends on the founder. The real strength of an organisation comes from empowering people, trusting them with ownership, responsibility, and the confidence to make decisions. Leadership is not about controlling everything. It is about building people, creating leaders, and allowing others to lead. “Lead, and let others lead.” When teams feel empowered, organisations move faster, innovate better, and build a culture where leadership exists at every level. One of the biggest shifts for any founder is moving from: being needed for everything to building an organisation that can thrive independently. Missed Day Two for a personal trip, but Day One alone gave plenty to chew on — from Pari Natarajan's "The Enterprise Foundry" keynote to the panel on "Now or Never: India's Right to Win" with Ajai Chowdhry and Mohandas Pai. The personal highlight though was being part of "The GCC Opportunity in Uttar Pradesh: Talent, Technology, and What's Next" — a masterclass led by Arvind Kumar, GCC Head at Invest UP, with a genuinely global panel weighing in on what it takes for a state to build a credible GCC proposition. Talent pipelines, policy, and ecosystem readiness all came up — themes that resonate closely with the work we're doing at T-Hub on the GCC front. There is something different about celebrating Onam in your own place. The pookalam at the entrance. The smell of a good sadya. The conversations that somehow go on for much longer than planned. The familiar faces. And that unmistakable Onam atmosphere that is difficult to recreate anywhere else. 𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑦𝑒𝑎𝑟, 𝐼 𝑔𝑜𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝑐𝑒𝑙𝑒𝑏𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝑖𝑡 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑚𝑦 𝑐𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑔𝑢𝑒𝑠 𝑎𝑡 𝐶𝐼𝐼 𝑎𝑠 𝑤𝑒𝑙𝑙. We came together, shared the celebrations and, for a little while, work took a back seat. What made it even more special for me was the fact that I am now back in Kerala and getting to experience the festival here after a few years away. Being away makes you appreciate some of these things differently. You realise that festivals aren't only about the celebration itself. They are about the place, the people and the memories attached to them. And perhaps that is why this Onam feels a little more meaningful. I am happy to be back in Kerala, happy to be part of the CII team, and even happier that my return coincided with one of the most special times of the year here. Wishing everyone a very 𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝑶𝒏𝒂𝒎! Our Annual General Meeting was more than a formal gathering — it was a celebration of the community that continues to make Hyderabad Angels what it is.
