Cultural Leaders is about elevating, advocating and educating A cultural leader to me is somebody who I feel has gone first or who is leading the way in any particular field, be it sport, music, fashion, art or design, somebody who I look at and think, heβs gone or sheβs gone and taken a risk in that area, thereβs nobody else doing this. I am looking around at people I admire who have gone out there and gone their own way to maybe drive a certain cultural conversation and start to become a reference for young people, especially young men to say, maybe I could do that to or maybe that particular career I wouldnβt have thought was a valid career choice but actually he or she has shown me that. I think itβs time to start to shine a light on these new talents that are coming through that are pushing the cultural conversation forward in Ireland. It is time to start having these conversations because there is loads of talent working at this sub cultural level. Paul Galvin
