Celebrating Our Heritage, Strengthening Our Connections, Living One MNRB At MNRB Group, one of our greatest strengths is the way we come together as One MNRB. Our Merdeka and Malaysia Day Celebration 2026 was a meaningful reflection of that spirit, bringing colleagues together to celebrate our shared heritage, achievements and values. On 11 September 2026, colleagues across the Group gathered for a day filled with patriotism, creativity, collaboration and connection. The celebration began with a special Batik Colouring Session with our GMC Members, where colleagues worked together on a single canvas, each adding their own unique contribution to create something larger than themselves. Beyond celebrating the beauty of Malaysian heritage, the activity symbolised the power of teamwork, unity and collective effort. The festivities continued with the MNRB Group Town Hall Q1 FY2027, which was opened by a moving sajak performance by three colleagues from the MNRB Group Pertandingan Deklamasi Sajak. The performance also supported the “Kempen Memartabatkan Bahasa Melayu”, reflecting our commitment to preserving and promoting the national language in line with Bank Negara Malaysia's initiative. One of the highlights of the day was the Department Merdeka Sustainability Fashion Show, where eight departments showcased their creativity through sustainable fashion inspired by Malaysia's rich cultural identity. The showcase demonstrated how innovation, sustainability and national pride can come together in inspiring ways. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, performed, organised and supported the celebration. Your enthusiasm and contributions made the day truly memorable. As we celebrate Merdeka and Malaysia Day, we are reminded that while our roles may be different, our purpose remains shared. Together, we honour our heritage, embrace our diversity and continue moving forward with a shared sense of purpose as One MNRB.

Collaboration is one of MNRB Group's core values, and Governance Week 2026 was a strong reflection of that value in action. On 7, 8 & 10 September 2026, the Group Compliance Management Department (GCMD), Group Risk Management Department (GRMD) and Group Information Communication Technology Department (GICTD) with the support of the Group Human Capital Management Department (GHCM), came together to organise MNRB Group Governance Week 2026, reinforcing an important message across the Group: Governance is everyone's responsibility. Through close collaboration across functions, the programme brought governance, risk management, compliance and cybersecurity to life through interactive booths, quizzes, games, knowledge-sharing sessions and exciting prizes. Participants also gained valuable insights from a special sharing session by Jabatan Penjara Sungai Buloh. More than just an awareness programme, Governance Week served as a reminder that strong governance is not the responsibility of a single department. It is built collectively through the decisions we make, the risks we manage, the controls we uphold and the behaviours we demonstrate every day. A heartfelt thank you to our colleagues from GCMD, GRMD, GICTD and GHCM whose collective effort, expertise and commitment made this initiative both meaningful and impactful. When we collaborate across functions, we strengthen governance. When we strengthen governance, we strengthen MNRB Group.
