Grant Segall has won three national journalism awards and many
regional ones. He was named Ohio’s best freelancer of 2023 and 2026.
He has written for Time, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe,
Reuters, Inside Climate News, The Daily Beast, Science, Pittsburgh
Magazine, the Cleveland Plain Dealer and many other outlets. He
wrote “John D. Rockefeller: Anointed with Oil” (Oxford University
Press, 2001). He lives in Cleveland and spends a few days a month at
his girlfriend’s in Pittsburgh.
