about me
i was born in 1980 in new york city. from a very early age, i had an interest in and an aptitude for theater, music, and computers. when i was very small, my father would routinely say to me, "someday you're going to learn how to combine these interests somehow, and that's how you'll spend your time" and i remember often shrugging that off as a weird thing to say. and yet.
since the mid 1990's, i've worked professionally in the theater mostly as a sound designer, projection designer, and stagehand, but also as a stage manager, production manager, technical director, and very very occasionally as an actor. absolutely, without a shred of a qualifier, i have done exactly what my father predicted.
i also work for figure 53, maker of qlab as a designer and as the manager of education and training. i created and teach the qclass, i write the manual for qlab, and i am the editor of the qlab cookbook.
i founded team sound, maker of theatrical tools.
in the summers, i teach at buck's rock camp, a studio and performing arts program for teens. i started as a camper in the 90s, the worked as a sound designer and technician, and now i oversee and orchestrate the production of performing arts.
i live in the beautiful hudson valley with my wife alana, our daughter elanor, and our dog rocket.
