“Harsh” Taylor Sheridan and “surfer dude” Cole Hauser’s “classic California versus Texas” feud is heating up, according to a new report.

The “Dutton Ranch” showrunner and actor, respectively, are butting heads and nearly came to blows for a second time, the Daily Mail claimed Monday.

The Daily Mail did not specify on Monday when their alleged second near-dustup took place.

The actor (pictured above on “Yellowstone”) is having a “classic California versus Texas” showdown with Sheridan, per the Daily Mail.

“Cole has had beef with Taylor for a while,” a source said. “Taylor can be a harsh Texas guy. He is super straightforward and thinks fast, so he can come off as brutal, but he is just on top of his game, and he is brilliant.

“Cole is more casual, more surfer dude,” the insider added, dubbing the duo “oil and water.”

The source continued, “Cole is a super nice dude from Santa Barbara and Taylor is a very harsh but brilliant cowboy from Texas. It’s classic California versus Texas. Cole is more like a relaxed dude, and Taylor is more like ‘do your work and be grateful.'”

The outlet did not provide additional details on the alleged almost-altercation.

Another insider speculated that Sheridan is “envious” of Hauser, 51, for his acting career — as the “Sons of Anarchy” alum quit acting and transitioned to writing and directing.

The individual explained, “Taylor might sometimes be hard on actors because when he first came to Hollywood he tried to act and didn’t get very far. That was stressful for him, it was a big bummer.

“Cole on the other hand, he is a natural. His looks, his timing — he has an ease with the camera. And he plays a hero very well.”

A third source insisted Hauser is “shuts up” during disagreements with Sheridan because he “is extremely grateful” for his role as Rip Wheeler on “Yellowstone” and its spinoff — and “has a lot of respect” for his boss.

“He says sorry real fast,” the insider claimed. “Taylor … could get rid of Cole anytime. So Cole doesn’t say crap anymore. Taylor does not like putting up with actor crap. He wants actors to stay in line. No diva s–t.”

However, Hauser took aim at Sheridan in a Filmside interview last month about on-set “challenges” without Sheridan around.

During the July interview, he said, “It was about putting my head down and working my ass off with what I had around me. … We had to figure out on our feet how to really perform and tell a story. So I’m proud of what we accomplished, and I look forward to doing it again.”

These comments were “not appreciated,” with the outlet reporting, “Whether Cole knew it or not, he was sounding an alarm that told the world that there were problems on ‘Dutton Ranch.'”

Reps for Sheridan and Hauser did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

The pair started working together in 2017, with Hauser, notably, telling Men’s Journal in 2022 that he and Sheridan, 56, got into a fight the second time they crossed paths — but did not provide additional details at the time.

In November 2023, the pair became embroiled in a legal battle over their competing coffee brands.

Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch took issue with the Free Rein logo’s alleged similarity to its own.

The lawsuit was dismissed in January 2024, with neither commenting publicly on the drama.
