Faye Abelgas-Lava nag-repost nitoFaye Abelgas-Lava nag-repost nitoI actually had to drive past Grab's (South East Asia's leading ride-hailing & quick delivery service app) huge billboard on EDSA twice to really get it. The first time in the morning, it was just a quick "Yeah, I see the message." But the second time? That's when it hit me. It didn't try to wow me instantly, but it landed a much bigger punch on the follow-up. Why did the billboard stand out? Creativity. The key was the massive, dominating shadow of a kid with a backpack. It wasn't about the delivery guy; it was about the reason for the delivery. It sent a crystal-clear message: Every time you order Grab, you’re helping put a driver's child through school. Plus points is it being the only mixed-medium execution along EDSA at the moment. *Billboard translation: Your orders sent my youngest to school - Sito Guano (Grab driver) What made it so effective? It tapped our hearts. 1. The Family Connection: We're a collectivistic culture, so focusing on family and emotion is an instant win here. That alone captures attention. 2. The Emotional Clincher: But the true genius was connecting it to the concept of hard work, a trait that defines so many Filipino homes (especially with 10% of us working overseas! according to the latest SWS survey). It didn't just sell a service; it celebrated a national value. That made the whole ad incredibly easy to relate to, quick to understand, and impossible to ignore. Moving onto it's commercial success: Do I still find Grab's prices steep? Yes. Will I book their service in the future? Highly likely as it justifies the cost with the same message in mind.

Faye Abelgas-Lava nag-repost nitoFaye Abelgas-Lava nag-repost nitoManager: “I’ve noticed you’re quiet in meetings.” Employee: “I’m just focused on execution.” Manager: “You need to speak up more to get noticed.” Sounds familiar? You’re doing great work, but because you’re not loud, you get overlooked. In many workplaces, visibility beats value. Those who speak more are often seen more— but being vocal doesn’t always mean being effective. Great leaders recognize impact, not volume. Because if promotions depend on performance plus politics, then the culture already failed.

Faye Abelgas-Lava nag-repost nitoFaye Abelgas-Lava nag-repost nitoEver noticed how Netflix’s “ta-dum” sound instantly gets you excited? That quick sound isn’t random, it’s their sonic logo, and it’s a smart example of sensory marketing. Here's the fun part: Netflix almost chose a goat’s bleat to tease MGM’s lion roar. But instead of a quick joke, they went the smart way. They worked with an Oscar winning sound designer who mixed a wedding ring tap, a slowdown effect, and a reverse electric guitar to create that sound. They even tested it with focus groups for over a year to make sure those two seconds made people feel excited, curious, and ready for what’s next. That’s the power of sensory marketing. Using sound, touch, taste, smell, or sight on purpose and at the right moment so it sticks. We don’t just remember what we see, we remember how we feel. And the fastest way to create a feeling is through our senses. So if you're building a brand, here's the real question: what will people feel when they experience it and which sense will you tap to make sure they never forget you? Faye Abelgas-Lava nag-repost nitoFaye Abelgas-Lava nag-repost nitoMost people think they know what strategy is. They don’t. Let me explain. I hope you will find it helpful. I’ve noticed a widespread misunderstanding about what strategy really is. When I talk about brand strategy, many people think I’m talking about visual identity, messaging and storytelling. But that’s Branding= parts of the execution of the brand strategy. When we discuss go-to-market strategy, people often assume it’s just about tactical marketing communication like social posts, ads, or promotions. But that’s Marketing communication- the execution of the Market strategy. So, what’s the difference? ✅ Strategy is the foundation. It’s the highest-level thinking that defines who we are, what we stand for, who we serve, and how we are different. It’s our direction, our compass. In brand strategy, this means our identity, purpose, positioning, and promise. ✅ Execution is the action, the activation of the strategy. It’s how we bring that strategy to life- through branding, marketing, and customer experience. Building a brand without a strategy is like building on sand. It might feel good at first because you can measure the activities, but the long-term results will be inconsistent at best. Strategy first. Execution second. Always. Faye Abelgas-Lava nag-repost nitoFaye Abelgas-Lava nag-repost nito2025 social media ins & outs The ins 🔥 + Short-form video: Still top tier! TikTok & reels dominate engagement. + Social commerce: The future of shopping is social! + Micro-influencers: Niche communities drive deeper connections. + Employee-generated content: Sharing authentic stories enhances brand trust. + Data backed personalisation: Deliver value within the platform, not by redirecting elsewhere. + Stronger engagement: Understand where your target audience spends their time daily and utilise this. The Outs ❌ − Over-polished content: Authenticity > perfection. − Over-saturation of influencer marketing: More strategic and selective influencer partnerships. − Jumping on every trend: It's not always about chasing the next, align with your brand/audience and be purposeful. In 2025, let's be real, strategic, and engaging! #SocialMediaTrends #Marketing2025 #DigitalMarketing #SocialMedia #InsandOuts #hospitality #customerservice #marketing

#PlayTimeEntertainment #BornForHappiness
