Basic Field Production | Tues. 6 pm, Sept. 15 - Oct 20, 2026
Members Only Workshop
This class will teach the basic operation of the Sony FX30 Digital Cinema Camera, lighting and microphones. Students will learn how to set up their shots, properly mic subjects and prepare for their production shoot. Students will also learn composition techniques as well as how to do basic planning production. This class will be held in person at PhillyCAM. Instruction will take place over the first 5 weeks, and the last class meeting will be the certification demonstration and exam. Upon conclusion and passing the certification, members will be able to reserve the equipment for their PhillyCAM projects.Fee: $100

Intro to Adobe Premiere | Sats. 11am Sept. 19 - Oct 10, 2026
Members Only Workshop
Students will be introduced to working in Adobe Premiere Pro's nonlinear editing program. Members will learn best practices for managing media and setting up projects, editing using different tools, manipulating tracks, and an introduction to graphics, color correction, effects, and audio editing. This workshop is best for members working on an active project. This workshop will be held in person at PhillyCAM, and all media will be provided. Please note our media lab computers are Mac systems.Fee: $75

Acting for the Camera: An Introduction to Screen Acting | Thur, Sept. 24 6 pm
This hands-on introductory workshop explores the fundamentals of acting for film, television, and commercial media. Participants will learn how to work with the camera, microphones, framing, eyelines, marks, and basic on-set direction while developing a natural and authentic on-camera presence.

Production Planning & Producing | Sept 28 - October 26, 2026 />
In this five section course, you'll learn how to plan and manage your PhillyCAM project—from developing your concept and creating a production plan to budgeting, scheduling, remote production, and distribution.
