My journey with WordPress began in 2021 when I attended WordCamp India online. As a student exploring the world of open-source communities, I was inspired by the energy, collaboration, and inclusiveness that WordPress stood for. That event sparked my interest in becoming a part of something bigger — a global community built on sharing and empowerment.

Soon after, I started contributing as a polyglot, focusing on Kannada translations. As one of the major contributors to Kannada, I found purpose in helping make WordPress more accessible to regional language speakers. It felt meaningful to bridge the language gap and ensure that more people could experience the power of WordPress in their native tongue.

In 2024, I had the opportunity to volunteer at WordCamp Bengaluru. It was my first in-person contribution experience, and it gave me a deeper understanding of what goes into organizing community events. Supporting the event and interacting with fellow contributors reinforced my belief in the values of collaboration, inclusivity, and openness.
