Synopsis
Adapted from Edgar Rice Burroughs' A Princess of Mars, Disney's John Carter brings the author's Barsoom series to life. When American Confederate Civil War captain John Carter accidentally transports himself to Mars, he soon becomes entangled in the planet's own internal power struggles. Using the increased strength and speed afforded to him by Mars' atmosphere, Carter fights to achieve peace on the distant planet known by the natives as Barsoom.

Not sure why the movie was not a huge hit!!??
Great movie with a nice strong story line, amazing scenery, special effects and good acting from many different actors. I was actually looking forward to a possible sequel which could have easily been done because of the strong story line. You know what!? I'm going to watch it again it's so good.

This is one of my all time favorite movies and I STILL can't believe it flopped! I will always hold onto hope of a second and third movie. I love this movie's plot, the characters, and the messages. I especially admire John Carter's determination and commitment to his causes, even though he tries to avoid the pain of them for a while. Beautiful work.
