Welcome to Plathville is a reality television series that follows the lives of the Plath family, a strongly conservative family with nine children that, while sharing some of their values, have begun to yearn for and seize their own independence. As the family tries to hold onto their old-world values, primarily separated from the rest of the country, they will reckon with their children's newfound beliefs and clash with new family members from their spouses.

There's so much more to explore with the Plath kids and the parents starting new relationships. They've all grown so much since the show started and I hope the series continues.

I would give 5 stars if they got rid of Olivia. As it is I fast forward when Olivia's parts come on. She's not at all interesting and I never understood why, if she hated and resented The Senior Plaths so much, she still carries their last name. As she's no longer married to Ethan she should not use his last name seeing how she couldn't stand his parents. She contradicts herself and she's not a nice person, please do us all a favor and get her off, or please don't show whats happening with her life so much, you should read what is said about her on social media. Nobody understands why you keep her and make a big deal out of her but keep it up and you will lose a lot of fans.
I agree that the show has gone downhill. Olivia's storyline is so fake, and the original story has been told. It was unique but now they are grasping st straws to fill the hour.
Why is Olivia still on the show? She has no connection with the family, except her last name. It was enjoyable to watch the Tuesday night without her on it.
Olivia doesn't need to still be on the show. I have never been a fan of Olivia. She's no long a Plath and she needs go and mess up someone else's head. Bye Olivia.
I really think this article that pertains to Kim Plath is way too harsh. Her children have grown to be well adjusted and productive citizens, so far. Its not easy to home school, as she has done. Any mother with multuple children should understand how difficult raising kids are. Give credit where credit is due. Most parents i know would be proud to have even one of their kids turn out as respectful, intelligent, considerate, insightful, and thoughtful as any one of the Plath siblings. So Kim is a bit controlling. As we can all see she has lightened up on her contol, since season 1. This demonstrates her ability to learn and change for the better. How many of us are willing to see past mistakes and actually change? This is the epitomy of an open mind. I love the show and the family. I wish more families had the morals and goodness of the Plaths.

I actually turned the channel while her clip with new guy was on....get rid of her, shes turning viewers off....and i now believe she was a BIG part of the drama within the family when sge was married to Ethan. Get gone girl.....
I am tired of Olivia, I don't know why she is still on, she's divorced and hates all things Plath. Let her find her own show. I am barely watching the show but skip past when Olivia is on.

Welcome to Plathville always fascinates. Since season 1, I've found the series riveting. I tend to enjoy reality shows with a religious focus. While Welcome To Plathville has a similar vibe to Sister Wives, it often seems more emotional and personal. For example, in the past, I found myself feeling for Ethan Plath in ways that I rarely felt for Sister Wives cast members, except perhaps Janelle Brown.
Ethan was greatly hindered by his Fundamentalist parents. There are plenty of good Christians but Kim and Barry didn't always fit that ideal. They seemed to want to use religion to control their kids. They seem hypocritical. Barry's mellowed out, Kim's in midlife crisis mode... a lot is shifting and changing. Kim and Barry are rejecting the values that they imposed on others. I find this very interesting as I'm quite open-minded about spirituality. I believe that people should question their beliefs and really decide for themselves what their values are.
In the newest season, I've watched Ethan try to come to terms with his divorce - he is in so much pain. Olivia wants her freedom and it's easy to understand why she would. She is weary of the endless feuds, the monster-in-law hassles, and the whole Plath way of life. She wants to go her own way.
So many cast members are interesting - while it seems too bland and blond on the surface, there's more going on, giving it surprising depth. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to feel a lot while they're watching reality TV. It's not a shallow dating competition or whatever - it's lives impacted by a unique way of life. It started on a Cairo, Georgia farm, and those days are over, but the past casts a very long shadow.
Why is Olivia & her sister still on? Remove them from the show.
Why did Kim make the comment about wanting to see who was gonna punch who first? That was really immature of her, yet Barry was very welcoming to Ken. We will need to follow Ethan, Micah & Moriah as they face their own challenges. The "little" girls aren't so little anymore Kim. It will also be interesting to follow Barry and see where his single status takes him.
Plathville is a refreshing take on reality tv that breaks away from the traditional drama-filled tropes. It takes a look at a family navigating life under unique circumstances. The family’s journey of self discovery and the tension between their traditional upbringing, and their children’s desire for independence makes for compelling viewing. The show is not over the top drama but instead focuses on real, relatable challenges that some families face. The authenticity and emotional depth keep me hooked every episode. Looking forward to the next new season. Please don’t cancel.
The rating above is primarily based upon episode 12. The Plaths are not the best vocalist s. Perhaps if they come back for another season, Olivia’s family could be an interesting addition and more in depth discussions as to Kim’s shift in her beliefs. Micah doesn’t appear to be ready for marriage although Veronica is beautiful… perhaps a love interest for Barry and more insight into Lydia as she’s honestly the only one who has maintained her faith in GOD, which is where the show has completely changed…
I love the Plath family and everything they represent. They are what every family in America strives for when it comes to loving and supporting each other. It is hard watching the difficult issues that I myself have dealt with (divorce and heartbreak) but life is not rainbows and unicorns.Plath fan for life.🌈🦄

If Ethan's not with Olivia anymore, why is she still on the show? We don't care to follow Olivia and her new boyfriend she needs to be removed from the show. She's not with one of the Plath's there's no reason for her on the show
Barry is disgusting? Using money after using the woman to have and raise all the children? Never before more convinced that they’re part of an occult. The poor children?? Yes Zac help yourself to my daughter Lydia to make children after 3 months? Disgusting? I feel awful for Kim. I’m done with this. I continue to enjoy the Duggar children as the ones I watch have grown and evolved from the teachings of the occult.

Ethan is SUPPOSED to be the eldest, yet he along with his other brother and their friends behaved like 5 year old IMMATURE IDIOTS on the 07.31.25 show making Zac feel so Unwelcomed - just because his marriage didn’t work - none of them even attempted to get to know Zac AT ALL!!!! DISGUSTING - SMH - GROW THE HELL UP ETHAN!
I love the family, they were a bit strange at first however this is the life they were living. They truly love each other and that's a good thing. If we recall they were raised untraditionally. So now that they are venturing outside of their norm. They being accused of being different, well they are different.. it takes time to get to know them and their close knit family. Don't try to change them so fast...... Veronica!!!
