I wrote up a small #web #utility #app for Matrix to see if you share any rooms with a id  - https://ceearrbee.github.io/matrix-utils/

I call it Matrix Mutuals (because names are a strength of mine), its a little static page that tests for MSC2666 server support, and let's you login to an account (password or SSO) and check to see via another users id if you share any rooms with them.

I have been #developing a #forum based #frontend for Mastodon. I think it would be neat for some longer form #conversations and honestly, I am just old school and like the format.

It is just a static React page that I'll throw up on a GitPage! Compared to trying to work with #Matrix and a #VTT this has been really nice.

No ETA to when I'll throw it out to the world, but I know I need to at least come up with a better name..

Hola, #TTRPG folk, when creating #adventures , do you have any #tools for #planning decision chains? I have been working on an adventure that is almost #roguelike in how it can spread out in a big decision tree changing a ton of variables, and I am getting a little overwhelmed.

I am almost at the point where I may actually set up a board with yarn and that feels like a rabbit hole I should try to avoid!

The worst part about #developing #35mm #film is realising I now have to #scan it. Time to get the scanner out of the closet, at some point I'll get setup for #dslr scanning.

#GuildWars 1 has dropped for #Android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.arena.guildwars.reforged). It runs really well and I was able to use my keyboard/mouse through scrcpy. (Also the option menu is still the PC one with Windowed/Full screen/etc).

It is a little buggy though. But it does look nice!

I went on a #photo #walk last #night in #Calgary #YYC with my #Sony #A100 from 2006, it was fun seeing how limited it was, using period appropriate #Minolta glass and dealing with the fading light.

If you don't have too high of expectations, it even doesn't look that bad taking #portraits (please note my friends very expensive #Nikon camera).

Planning out a #community #zine about #photography , so many small things to take care of before I can start inviting people. Gotta get that pitch completely right for folk to actually be interested.

Why can't I just beam the concept directly into their heads!

Has anyone used the #notepad sized #Rocketbook for #writing ? I am thinking of replacing my normal #pen and #paper #notebook for it, since I don't the #notes and having something that is more reusable would be nice.

But I am wondering if its bulky and that the #pens that you can use with are large?

You would think as a #photographer I would have a lot of #Photos that I love. But I want to submit to a local #photography #zine and the thought of having to review my stuff is so painful.

I have a little less than a month to do it and I feel like its going to take that much time to get the willpower to do it. I so rarely look at what I've taken, especially in the context of getting them printed.

I assume they're on the move because they need to get their 10,000 steps in.

Darn, I went to try to use a #flash on my #kiev6c and something is up with it. It is supposed to fire at 1/30th and slower, but it only fires at 1/8th and slower. It was CLA'd only a couple years ago and its firing at accurate speed otherwise!

That'll make shooting a struggle.

Has anyone successfully connected the native Android emacs app with termux ? I follow the instructions provided, and it tells me that all the file names are too long.

Was trying to check out #miniflux in a #podman #Container and no matter what I do, it gives me timeout i/o #errors trying to add any #rss feeds. How annoying, it looks like a neat project.

Has anyone used #ejabbered to act as a #matrix #chat #server ? I'm sure what the exact feature set it supports is. Could it be a Matrix server itself instead of #synapse or #conduit ? I ran #prosody as an #jabber / #xmpp server for years and found it suite nice.

It is kind of incredible how expensive and frustrating it is to invest and setup a #NAS . Even off-the-shelf solutions are underwhelming in what they offer for their price, especially in Canada..

For the third year in a row I've bought and built the exact same bookshelf because it was on sale on Black Friday.

Sadly, this'll be the last year of this tradition since I'm out of room! It sure does look good though.
