Capture your tasks & reminders with Gemini Apps

You can ask Gemini Apps to add, edit, and show your tasks and reminders from Google Tasks and Samsung Reminder.

What you need

To connect your tasks and reminders apps to Gemini Apps, you need to:

  • Have Keep Activity on. Gemini can’t connect to these apps when this setting is off.

Important:

  • The supported tasks and reminders apps aren’t available in Gemini in Google Messages.
  • Gemini Apps can hallucinate responses or provide outdated information. To check the information, click and review the sources listed after the response.

Connect your tasks & reminders to Gemini Apps

Connect Google Tasks

To work with your lists and reminders from Google Tasks in Gemini Apps, Google Workspace must be connected to Gemini Apps.

  1. On your phone or tablet, open the Gemini mobile app or go to gemini.google.com.
  2. Make sure you’re signed in to the same account you use with Google Workspace.
  3. Ask the Gemini app to add or show a task from Google Tasks.
    • Tip: To tell Gemini Apps to specifically use Google Tasks, add @Google Tasks to your prompt.
  4. If Google Workspace isn’t connected, you’ll get the option to connect it.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Connect Samsung Reminder

Important: The Gemini mobile app supports the Samsung Reminder app only on the Galaxy S25 or later and select Samsung devices running OneUI7 and later, and only if the Samsung Reminder app is installed on your device. This app is connected by default on supported Samsung devices.

  1. Open the Gemini mobile app .
  2. Ask the Gemini app to add or show a reminder from Samsung Reminder.
    • Tip: To tell the Gemini app to specifically use Samsung Reminder, add @Samsung Reminder to your prompt.
  3. If you disconnected the Samsung Reminder app, you’ll get the option to connect it again.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

For the best Gemini experience ensure your Google app is updated to the latest version.

You can tell Gemini Apps exactly what to add. Here are some example prompts:

  • Remind me on [date] at [time] to [task].
  • Remind me at [time] to call [name].
  • Add [task] in my to-dos.
Add reminders & tasks based on your conversation

You can also tell Gemini Apps to add reminders and tasks based on your conversation or other information. Try these example prompts:

  • When does [movie name] come out?
    After Gemini's response: Remind me 1 week before that to buy tickets for it.
  • Help me plan a trip to [country or place]. Create a packing list for me.
    After Gemini's response: Create a reminder to bring those things in Google Tasks.
  • <Take a photo of a list of things> Add the items from this image to my to-dos for [time, date].

Tips:

  • To add a task or reminder, you can include “Add this to my tasks,” “@Google Tasks,” or "@Samsung Reminder" in your prompt.
  • To undo an action, select Undo in the confirmation notification, or open and edit the list linked below the response.
    • If you created an action with Gemini Live on in the background, Gemini can’t undo the action.

For example, you can ask Gemini Apps:

  • Change the date of [task name] task to [date].
  • Mark [task name] as done in Tasks.
  • Change the name of task [task name] to [task name].
  • Delete my tasks about [topic, activity, event].

Tip: To help Gemini Apps understand that you want to update a task or reminder, include “task,” “@Google Tasks,” or "@Samsung Reminder" in your prompt.
