Succumbing to the ongoing students’ agitation, Punjabi University, on Sunday, decided the complete roll back of the fee hike for the 2026-27 academic session -- after a meeting with the protesting students.
The indefinite protest of the students--outside the Vice-Chancellor’s office--had already entered its 19th day and decision is understood to have come after the protesting students had announced that they would lock down the VC’s office on Monday to intensify their agitation.
