On Tuesday, we hosted the fourth annual Leadenhall Charity Gala at Amazing Grace in London Bridge. The evening consisted of a quiz, auction, raffle and live music to round off the night. This year, we supported KOFUP, a charity close to the heart of Isabella Haley and her family. Their work provides vital support to orphaned and vulnerable children across Kenya and Uganda, helping to create safer and more stable futures. Following a brilliant turnout and huge generosity on the night, we raised over £14,200, double last year’s total and a record for the event. A figure we are incredibly proud of and one that will go a long way in supporting this cause. A huge thank you to Christopher Hillman for hosting the quiz and to Michael Brown for leading the auction and helping push the total even higher. A lot of work went in behind the scenes from Neve Grueber, Dana Drutis and the wonderful charity committee to pull everything together, keep the night running smoothly (and for selling a record number of raffle tickets)! We are also very grateful to the local businesses who donated prizes for the raffle and auction. Your generosity played a huge part in the success of the evening. And finally, thank you to the 130+ friends, family and supporters who filled both floors and made it such a great night. We are thrilled to congratulate Tom Gilchrist on his promotion to Consultant. An incredibly quick milestone, achieved just seven months after joining us in September. Tom has been a brilliant addition to the team. He’s a huge support to Dana and the wider Strategy team, and is consistently recognised for his positive attitude, team player approach, and the energy he brings to the business. He’s someone who genuinely adds to both the culture and performance of Leadenhall Search. He’s shown great initiative across his work, delivering not just within his own team but across the wider business as well. Tom always goes the extra mile to ensure strong market coverage, and has already built a really solid track record of conversion - a testament to both the quality of candidates he represents and the relationships he builds. His commercial awareness and early focus on business development have also been great to see. Really excited to see how Tom’s Consultant journey develops from here, no doubt he’ll carve out a strong niche for himself in no time. Outside of the day job, Tom gets fully involved in the social side too, both in the UK and most recently on our ski incentive, where he impressed with his skiing… and his dancing (probably best kept off LinkedIn). We celebrated our Q4 Directors Lunch Club last Thursday, hosted by Dana Drutis at The Maine Mayfair, marking the close of a fantastic financial year. It was great to bring together the quarter’s top performers, Christopher Hillman, Tina Lawmann, Oliver Wiggin, Otto Stroyan, Benjamin Whelan and Tom Gilchrist, and recognise the hard work and results delivered across the company. The food and setting were excellent and made for a memorable afternoon. Rewarding success is a core part of our culture at Leadenhall. Given today’s market, where we're seeing a real hive of activity for young professionals in US consulting, firms need to listen and adapt to retain their standout talent. Recently, one obvious message has struck me: don’t settle for top-down promotion structures. Every day, we speak to candidates (from Big 4 and likes of) waiting for a more senior role to become “vacant” to then gain further responsibility, rather than being recognised once they’ve proven their value and potential repeatedly.
