Catherine Hall shared thisI used to work with Joshua Garvey and can’t recommend him enough. If you’re looking for an amazing senior copywriter, definitely give him a shout!Catherine Hall shared thisAlas, the curly finger of redundancy beckons, so I’m on the hunt for a new home. If you’re looking for a copywriter who, in the last 12 months alone, has contributed to £1m+ in savings and revenue, lead on a total brand refresh and website reworking, and owns copy and content strategy from conception to execution, I’d be grateful to hear from you. #OpenToWork

Catherine Hall reposted thisCatherine Hall reposted thisMost businesses think they'll "get around to AI eventually." The thing is, they're already using it. It's in their CRM, their inbox, their accounts software. It crept in quietly, no strategy day required. The question was never whether to start. It's whether you're getting the most out of what's already in front of you. I've written about what this actually looks like in business communications, and why the businesses pulling ahead aren't the ones spending the most. 👇What's actually happening with AI in Business Communications? What's actually happening with AI in Business Communications?

Two visits, two blue sky welcomes 😎 Looking forward to joining 12 IC leaders from a wide variety of sectors for today’s session. Big thanks to Sarah Birtwistle from Ipsos Karian and Box for co-hosting this one with me. We’ll be looking at headlines from the latest IC Index and focusing on (1) Leaders, managers and the growing trust gap, and (2) Strategy belief in decline and change not landing effectively. ✍️ If you’re a Head/Director of IC and would like to join us in Bristol (14 Oct), London (3 Nov) or Edinburgh (12 Nov), just drop us an email at hello@commapartners.com to register your interest. Catherine Hall liked thisCatherine Hall liked thisLET ME REINTRODUCE MYSELF For the past 15 years, I have chased big, frightening goals across countries, continents and oceans. Some ended in world records. Others ended in failure, injury or a long journey home with more questions than answers. I became the first person to complete the Grand Slam of Endurance, but the thing I’m most proud of is not a single record. It is that I am still here. Fifteen years is a long time to keep asking your body and mind to go further. A long time to live with uncertainty, to begin again after failure and to keep believing when the finish line is nowhere in sight. Sustaining that level of performance has taught me more than any one expedition ever could. I have learnt that courage does not always feel brave. Sometimes it is simply getting up the next morning and continuing. I have learnt that motivation disappears, plans fall apart and even the strongest people doubt themselves. The difference is learning how to move forward anyway. Those are the lessons I now want to share with people and teams who have set themselves big, scary goals but feel stuck somewhere between the excitement of beginning and the reality of finishing. So, let me reintroduce myself. I’m Sean Conway: endurance adventurer, world-record holder and speaker. I have spent 15 years learning how to keep going, and I’m looking forward to sharing what the journey has taught me.

Catherine Hall liked thisCatherine Hall liked this3 months at Kier Group. Time flies when you're having fun. I've been relatively quiet on LinkedIn recently, however today marks 3 months since I joined Kier, and what a busy and exciting few months it has been. So far, I've been involved in: 💙 Case study videos brining to life our Health, Safety and Wellbeing culture 🔧 Spanners with microphones 💵 Financial results for a FTSE 250 company 📈 A new corporate strategy 🚀 Engagement booster campaigns 💻 Promoting our Naturally Digital ambition 🏣 Moving into new offices ⭐ Planning our 2027 Pride of Kier event 📅 Introducing OKRs across the team 🏖️ Beach cleans using my volunteering day 🎤 Some very questionable karaoke And much much more... Through it all, I've felt so proud to work with an incredible team. Every person brings huge talent, energy and expertise, and I've learned something from them all. The culture at Kier is genuinely special, driven by people who care about what they do and are committed to Kier's continued success. I'm excited to see what the months and years ahead will bring, both for me and for the business. I couldn't be happier to be part of this incredible journey.

Catherine Hall liked thisCatherine Hall liked thisGreat to catch up with customers and colleagues across the hospitality sector — AB InBev , Punch Pubs & Co and British Beer & Pub Association — and, of course, find the giant pint! 🍺 Some great panels and conversations throughout the day, including with John Scanlon, Environmental Services Association Chairman , flying the flag for the sector and focusing on two key priorities: battery fires and waste crime. 🔥 Also brilliant to catch up with one of my partners in crime, Anna Willetts who was very much on brand in Biffa red! 🤣 Couldn’t resist a bin-double Biffa-red selfie. ♻️📸 A big thank you to the British Soft Drinks Association for hosting the fringe session on the Deposit Return Scheme and the discussion around how it can help deliver greater circularity across the UK. Great panel with Andy Bagnall , Sam Jones and Emma Hardy — and I’ve also learnt that Sam loves a Merlot! 🍷😂 Finally, fantastic to catch up with the Exchange for Change, David Gell Kate McFerran and SUEZ Emma Jordan Paul Marsden, MBA Dr Adam Read MBE — and very pleased to be reunited with the bin selfie queen! 📸🤣 and topped the day off with chat with @Ed Miliband MP A brilliant day of conversations, collaboration and, naturally, bins. ♻️🗑️
