If anyone ever gets the chance to attend a shop fit, you need to see it to believe the energy and pace in which everything happens. Massive shout out to anyone involved in the full process, from design to merchandising, to VM to HR. From our point of view, we wanted to land with impact. The purpose? To give London a living, breathing third space, providing creative young minds with a place to learn, grow and engage. Located in our Oxford Street store, the space is now open. We have a full lineup of workshops and creative sessions with our community coming soon. London’s youth scene just got a new home. I used to shop here with my mates in 2009/2010, spending cash we had made from paper rounds on adidas California t shirts and Nike AM95s. To now go back 15 years later as part of the marketing team really spun my head. A lot of hard work to get here but a long way to go.

A great team effort from everyone involved — from the initial concept developed by our Store Design team, through to the creative marketing assets, and finally the execution in store by our VM’s. Yesterday we opened the doors to our new store at the Arndale Centre, a proper milestone in Berghaus’s mission to become the leading British outdoor brand. This isn’t just a new shop. It’s another representation of the shift thats been happening across the business over the past few years, in how we show up and who we’re becoming. Co-founder Peter Lockey and Sir Chris Bonington were there to mark the day, sixty years of heritage in the room, standing next to what comes next. It was also a proud moment to have Ed Jackson on stage, a fantastic Berghaus ambassador and huge advocate of the brand. None of this happens without the team. Huge thanks to Bob Neville for his leadership and belief throughout, and to Adam Field, Kris Weir (she/her), Luke Sharman, Josh Sudell, Ben Chapman, Curtis C. and Lorna Mann for the graft that got the doors open and our community firing. Well done 👍 As always, there’s more to come.

Very excited to share a first look at our new 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗵𝗮𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗿𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲. 📍 I was thrown into this project pretty much from day one of joining Berghaus, and I’ve been living and breathing it ever since. A lot of big ideas, tiny details, problem solving, running around and, occasionally, actual sweating. 😅 At the heart of it was creating a store that works hard for our customers and our community. A new VM strategy built around how people actually shop. A space that brings our brilliant brand story and heritage to life. A more inclusive approach to mannequins, helping more people see themselves in Berghaus. And importantly, thinking beyond the shop floor to how this Haus can become a real hub for Manchester’s outdoor community. 🏔️❤️ I’ve learned a huge amount, as I always do. But the biggest reminder has been just how much teamwork it takes to make something like this happen. 🙌 So many people across 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗵𝗮𝘂𝘀 have gone above and beyond to get us over the line. That changed this morning, when I bobbed along to Manchester Arndale for the opening of its first-ever standalone store. Cutting the ribbon: co-founder Peter Lockey, 60 years on from starting Berghaus in Newcastle, alongside climbing legend Sir Chris Bonington. Adventurer and brand ambassador Ed Jackson was there too. Sixty years of British climbing history, in a shopping centre, on a drizzly Wednesday. I spoke to Bob Neville, Pentland's global head of retail, about how a brand with that much heritage ends up feeling anonymous – and what its own shop can do that a shelf elsewhere can't. Safe to say I’ve been enjoying my short career as a full-time athlete 😂🏃♂️ A lot of people have asked what I’ve been up to, alongside looking for my next opportunity, I’ve tried to use the time to invest in myself. I’ve always been into my fitness, particularly running, but having more time has allowed me to really focus on it and push myself. It’s given me structure, cleared my head and given me something positive to work towards. I’m still actively exploring opportunities across the UAE and UK, particularly within: - Wholesale / Key Account Management - Sports Marketing / Commercial Partnerships - Business Development If you know of an opportunity or think there could be a way we could work together, I’d love to hear from you 🙌🏻
