This is a staff-level role with real scope to shape platform strategy, not just operate it day-to-day. If you’ve worked on platform engineering, SRE, or DevEx challenges and enjoy solving problems around scalability, standardisation, and reducing cognitive load for engineering teams, I’d love to connect. Open to candidates across the UK & Ireland. Feel free to reach out or share with someone in your network! Check out the full job details and apply today: https://lnkd.in/eShwwwYc

Orlando Ruiz shared thisWe’re growing the team and looking to hire 2 Staff Platform Engineers at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (Remote UK or Ireland). This is a big opportunity to help shape the core platform that powers our global engineering ecosystem across the UK, Ireland, and the US. You’ll work on the foundations that make great product engineering possible: AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitOps, observability, Terraform, and internal developer tooling. The role also carries real influence, with scope to lead major technical initiatives, set platform standards, and raise the bar for reliability, scalability, and developer experience across the organisation. We’re looking for engineers with strong experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, or software engineering, plus deep expertise in cloud-native systems, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS. Python and Java are especially relevant, and experience in high-availability or regulated environments is a strong plus. The roles are Fully Remote for candidates based in the UK or Ireland. Orlando Ruiz reacted on thisOrlando Ruiz reacted on thisIt feels strange to have to write this sort of message... 🥲 Today marks the end of my time as HR Manager at FLOYT Mobility | billiger-mietwagen.de | CARIGAMI, and it has been intense 💪 I’m leaving grateful for everything that I could achieve over the years, for having helped build strong teams and attract the best talent. Still, above all, I’m leaving knowing that I take with me the sincere affection of all my colleagues, and especially from my beautiful team in #Alicante. For me, feeling truly appreciated by my colleagues is the best gift and memory I’m taking away from FLOYT 🙏 It’s unfair not to be able to mention here all the people who have made these four and a half years so special, but I’d like to send a virtual hug to Mirko Behnert, Sven Ahrens & my dear manager Julia Nelles for giving me this opportunity and placing your trust in me over the years. To my brave HR team, Madeleine Nasca, Nicola Minning, Anja Weigel, Sophia Mull & my work bestie Rositsa Racheva, for bearing with me all these years, I'm not easy 🤣... I would also like to send my warmest regards to all those who, over the years, have been there for me in one way or another. I have learnt something from every one of you!: Nils Niesen, Kim Mölken, Marin Marinov, Eva Mõttus, Juan Carlos Sánchez de Lamadrid Poveda, Juanjo España Benito, Diego Alejandro León Medina, Nieves Montero, Annette Kootz, Rocío Pérez Rodríguez, Markus Schulze, Rocio Lopez, ☁️ David Sarriás García, Eva Rakosi, Eva Martínez Maestre, Karen Frommert Paumier, Michael Wolter, Christian Becker, Christine Schmidt, Daniela Bienemann, Sélène Hampe, Mark MacMahon, Eric Weber, Fernando Almenara.... I would love to be able to mention to everyone... 💚 Special thanks as well to my CamperDays colleagues, I still feel you are a bit part of me: Alberto Verdoy Mañes (I'll miss you Alberto! 💔), Maxim Kuenzel, Maximilian Schmidt, Raphael Meese, Benjamin Tillmann, Nadine Schubert... and the rest of the team! And finally, to the whole TEAM at FLOYT, both in Cologne and in Alicante. You’ve really made a lasting impression on me! ** The time has come for me to focus on a new professional challenge, and I’m really looking forward to it! But it’s hard to leave a team with such great people. All I can say is, THANK YOU!

Going from startups back into a large company felt a bit like switching from a speedboat to a cruise ship: different pace, different challenges, and so much learning along the way. I am really grateful for the fantastic team I got to work with. Peter Parkes, Mathias Davidsen, Wiz 👋🏻, Jakob Knutzen 🧈, Cheska Teresa, Emil Tamas and countless others we collaborated along the way. I learned a ton from all of you (and had a lot of fun doing it). Huge thanks to Andrey Khusid and Jeff Chow for the opportunity, trust, coaching and for building something truly special. Now I’m heading back to my natural habitat: startups. An opportunity to build a truly unique AGI system in Europe feels special, but more on that to come.

Orlando Ruiz reacted on thisOrlando Ruiz reacted on thisAsking questions at the end of your interview — Yays ✅ and Nays ❌ Asking questions at the end of your interview is more important than you realise. I’ve seen interviews turned around from a no hire to a hire purely off the back of exceptionally well-prepared questions. Here are some pointers 👇 Prepare, prepare, prepare 📝 Write your questions in a notebook before your interview. When asked if you have questions, visibly show the list in your book so your interviewer can see how throughly you’ve prepared. Simple, but effective. What type of questions to ask? 🎯 Split them into three areas: Interviewer specific 👤 Research them (LinkedIn, Medium, GitHub) and ask about their journey. It shows effort and curiosity. Examples: What made you move from Company X to Company Y? I saw you spoke at X event — how did that come about? Is public speaking encouraged here? Company specific 🏢 Use tools like ChatGPT/Claude to get up to speed on recent company news and ask about specific articles. Other examples: What type of candidates are top performers here? Can you share an example of someone who’s grown quickly? These questions show ambition and industry knowledge. Both important qualities. Role specific 💼 What does success look like in the first 6 months? What gaps is this hire solving? Who would I work with cross-functionally? → Always tie their answers back to your experience and how you have this skill/worked with x team before/comfortable in this type of environment No go 🚫 If the interviewer has already answered everything you planned to ask, never say you have no questions. It shows a lack of interest and can genuinely lead to a no hire (I’ve seen it happen). Ask something on the fly instead — why do you enjoy working here? What are you most excited about working on this half? What topics to avoid ⚠️ Compensation — keep this with the recruiter. You don’t want to come across as money not role motivated. Remote working — ask upfront, not in later interviews. Layoffs — route carefully via the recruiter. The can be a sensitive topic. Final thought 💥 Good questions don’t just tick a box — they can change the outcome of your interview. Use that last 5–10 minutes to differentiate yourself.

Orlando Ruiz liked thisAnthropic is significantly expanding our London presence with a new office space by the Knowledge Quarter - room for around 800 people, and the space we need to keep growing. London has become one of our most important hubs outside the US. Our team here is now 200+ strong, including around 60 AI safety researchers, and the work happening in this city sits at the heart of both our research and commercial momentum in Europe. Why the UK? Because it's where three things come together that are rare anywhere else in the world: ambitious enterprises and institutions that genuinely understand what's at stake with AI safety, a government that takes the technology seriously, and an exceptional pool of AI talent. Europe's largest businesses and fastest-growing startups are choosing Claude, and we're scaling to match. Orlando Ruiz reacted on thisOrlando Ruiz reacted on thisIt has taken me a while to write this, but I was impacted by the Meta layoffs a few weeks ago. The news dropped as I was wrapping up work before heading off on a family vacation, and I wanted to take some time disconnect, be present with my loved ones, and reflect on what the past almost 8 years have meant to me. To those who have reached out, thank you so much. Your support and kind words of encouragement go a long way. I want to thank all my managers who have mentored me, challenged me, and been part of my journey. Originally coming from an SDR background, I wanted to bring my ability to connect with people to the recruiting world and pair candidates to the right opportunity to create impact. (And wow, did I love it). From starting off as a sourcer to now a full-cycle recruiter, I appreciate the guidance and the support you all have shown me when I wanted to start new projects and the openness you had to my ideas. To all the hiring managers I had a chance to work with, it has been a joy partnering with every one of you in helping build out your organizations. Last, but certainly not least, the DrEam team. I am forever grateful to not only have called you all my teammates, but also great friends. What a blessing it is to share my major life milestones with you. Thank you for all the support, laughs, and memories. Every day, I have so much gratitude that Meta brought us together. As for what’s next for me? I am currently prioritizing remote opportunities, but open to Bay Area (hybrid) roles. To share a little about me, I am passionate about partnering with hiring managers to create exceptional candidate experiences, building high quality talent pipelines, and developing and supporting an inclusive team-first culture. If that sounds like something you are looking for, would love to connect. 😊 #Metalayoffs

Recruitment teams aren’t underperforming - they’re constrained by fragmented systems. With leaner teams and higher expectations, scattered tools create friction, slow execution, and unclear reporting. Bringing data, campaigns, automation, and reporting into a single operating layer gives teams clarity, speed, and the ability to truly do more with less. https://lnkd.in/gpnP27eT #RecruitmentMarketing #RecruitmentOps #MarketingOperations #AIinRecruiting #PeopleLeaders

Recruitment teams are being asked to produce more, with fewer resources, and they’re doing it inside a patchwork of systems that were never built to work together. When your ATS, CRM, paid channels, workflows, and reporting live in separate places, momentum dies in the handoffs. You lose time, you lose signal, and leadership ends up flying blind. Recruitment Marketing Command Center (RMCC) is the answer to that, a connected operating layer that turns scattered activity into a clear line of sight: what’s happening, what’s working, and what to do next. #HITL #RecruitmentMarketing #RMCC #TalentAttraction #GTM #AgenticAI #MarketingOperations

Talent acquisition budgets don’t get approved because they’re needed. They get approved because the business impact is clear. With rising costs and stretched TA teams, many leaders are being asked to justify hiring investment more rigorously than ever and traditional arguments aren’t landing. We break down how HR and TA leaders can build a compelling, data-backed business case for TA investment by tying hiring directly to what leadership cares about most: • Revenue impact and speed to delivery • The real cost of unfilled roles and skills gaps • Risk exposure from underinvestment • ROI beyond time-to-fill • Flexible, scalable budget models This isn’t about asking for more budget. It’s about positioning talent acquisition as a growth lever, not a cost center. Is your hiring process built to scale? 🚀 As talent demands grow, many TA teams find themselves stuck in reactive mode- overwhelmed by volume, inconsistent processes, and lengthy time-to-hire. The solution isn't working harder. It's working smarter with a scalable framework. Our four-step approach helps talent acquisition teams build a hiring engine that grows with your organization: - Standardize and Streamline: Remove bottlenecks with clear processes and defined roles - Focus on Skills: Evaluate what candidates can do, not just where they've been. - Prioritize Experience: Turn candidates into brand advocates with transparency and respect - Structure Onboarding: Transform hires into high performers from day one The companies winning the talent war aren't the ones with the biggest budgets, they're the ones with the best systems. #TalentAcquisition #Recruitment #HiringStrategy #HR
