Mae Reddaway shared this21 year old Mae genuinely thought that career success meant having the biggest personality, the fanciest title and climbing to the top as quickly as possible... If I could go back and talk to her now, I’d say: → You don't need to be the loudest person in the room to be a successful leader. → Choose roles and organisations that bring you joy, because life is too short to be miserable at work. → Your reputation is built in how you show up in the small moments, and your network is your biggest asset, so put time and care into building it. Looking back, I'm proud of the career I've built but I'm even prouder of how I've built it - being true to myself and my values, doing work I love, surrounding myself with brilliant people who uplift me, and building relationships with colleagues and clients that have continued long after I've left companies 🥰

Mae Reddaway shared thisSince my first grad job in advertising, I always dreamed of leading an agency and am super proud to have achieved that as a young woman while raising my little family (including my most loyal supporter, Evie 🐶) and overcoming more than a few challenges along the way. Winning in the Trailblazer of the Year category at The Drum Marketing EMEA Awards last week felt slightly mindblowing, but was such a lovely recognition of how far I've come on my journey. A massive thank you so all of the people who have championed me throughout my career, and I'm so lucky to have a team and clients at SEEN Connects that make work such a joy 💖

Mae Reddaway shared thisHuge congratulations to all of the brilliant women recognised in this year’s Management Today 35 Under 35 Women in Leadership Power List, and what an honor to be included amongst them 🥰 Not many people can say they get to do their dream job and I feel so lucky that I genuinely do, but I don’t often stop to reflect on the work I’m actually doing and the impact it’s having. So to be recognised in this way and to read the gorgeous nomination that our marketing team wrote about me meant A LOT, and it was so lovely to pause and give myself a bit of credit for what I'm achieving. Thank you to all of the team at SEEN Connects and Andrew Southcott for trusting me to lead the agency - I'm so grateful to work alongside all of you! ✨

Mae Reddaway reposted thisMae Reddaway reposted thisInfluencer Trips have become really popular! But how can you make sure you get your brand noticed and lots of added value from the stunning scenery? Answer: SEEN Connects take care of every little attention to detail for you. Delivering a stand out social media experience of memorability for your audience. I was lucky enough to spend three days in the Lakes with Arla Foods and Arla Sky 🩵🏔️🩵 Brand Queen Eleanor Burke. We really took the time to select a diverse group of influencers that matched our brand values. People think being an influencer is an easy life, rich pickings. Let me tell you the truth: it is bloody hard work! We gave them no script, they all pitched in, constantly filming, creating a brand masterpiece in social media (which we can use in other channels). We learnt so much about the value of an influence trip being part of your strategy. And my god the results have already tripled what we normally earn (I’ll follow up with some results later). We could never have pulled this off without the passion, fun and flexibility of our Team at SEEN Connects - long hours, hard work - lots of fun! Thank you to Niamh Green Shannon Farmer Hannah Apps Inayah Inam Alex Taylor Shanese Masih Mae Reddaway Beth Carroll Anushree Panday . there’s more of you but you’re too cool for LinkedIn 😉 For your vision and for bringing it to life in budget. Work is never a chore with our team at Seen 🙌 only results! 🏆 and also to Chris Miller for the stunning videography and of course all our creative Talent Team (including Louise Thompson 🙏) This is a memory that will live forever in our hearts - and in our yogurt bowls 🩵🏔️🩵

Mae Reddaway shared thisBefore I had a baby, I never even considered the pressure that working mums carry. The juggle and mental load of being fully present at work while also being there for the tiny humans who need you most is a LOT. But from that comes an almost superhuman ability to get sh*t done while being incredibly empathetic and resilient, and it’s definitely been a big part of making me the leader that I am today. So this Mother’s Day, here’s to the mums who are smashing it in their careers while raising the next generation - you’re incredible ❤️

Mae Reddaway liked thisMae Reddaway liked thisThings I’ve learned as the Global Head of eCommerce for a 9-figure DTC brand. Over the next couple of months I’ll be sharing what I’ve learned in the last 3 years leading eCommerce at Koala. Having spent the first 8 years of my career scaling nutrition and supplement brands, I can tell you that selling furniture is quite different... I had to adapt and change some of my preconceived beliefs and ideas. The rules of the game are different and they require a different playbook: - High AOV vs low AOV. - Low repeat rate vs subscription. - First order profitability vs LTV:CAC ratios. I had to learn the cultural nuances of optimising websites for different markets across Australia, Japan, US and UK. Best practices will only take you so far. You need specific knowledge of your customers to optimise a website past a certain point - this will be the focus of my first post. Follow along if you’d like to hear more.

Mae Reddaway liked thisMae Reddaway liked thisA little life update from me... Last week marked my last day at b. the communications agency, just over three years later, and what a whirlwind it’s been! I joined b. right at the start of my career and have somehow gone from figuring out what an agency even was to working across shoots, social, content, events and a whole lot of things I definitely didn’t know how to do when I started. A special shoutout to Judy Wright for taking that chance on me and the very talented Frankie Birch and Kate Walker who I started this journey with!❤️ Over the last three years, I’ve worked on brands I never imagined I’d get the chance to, been on some very fun shoots and events, and learnt more than I could have anticipated. But more than anything, I’ve been very lucky with the people I’ve had around me. I’ve met some incredibly talented, kind, funny and creative people, made some very good friends and had the kind of laughs that make you forget you’re at work. I’m incredibly grateful for the last three years and everything that came with them. I’m leaving with a lot more experience, a lot more confidence, and a lot of lessons (and people) that I know I’ll carry with me. I’m very excited to be starting a new role soon and can’t wait to share more! Thank you b. the communications agency. I've included some pictures of my favourite moments from over the years!💌

Mae Reddaway liked thisMae Reddaway liked thisTwo very big life updates from me this summer… ☀️ I’m very happy to share that I’ve been promoted to VP Clients at ThisThat! Nearly four years ago, I joined ThisThat as an Insight Manager, and along the way I’ve had the opportunity to work with and learn from some incredible colleagues and clients. I’m now heading up our existing client team, making sure we’re delivering value at every touchpoint and continuing to make influence investable. I’m really looking forward to what’s ahead, and very grateful to everyone who has helped me get here. And then, in slightly more personal news… I got married! We had the most amazing few days celebrating with our favourite people, and I’m now getting used to being Taylor-Gowland. A summer I definitely won't forget ❤️

Mae Reddaway reacted on thisA superb brand and a good Apple of an agency! 🍏 Thank you SEEN Connects and Lauren Herman for shining a light on the wonderful craft and quality of Copella. 🍎Mae Reddaway reacted on thisA little taste of summer with Copella 🍎 ☀️ Over the last few weeks, we've been creating a fresh batch of seasonal assets for Copella's social channels, leaning into the best of the British summer. Our creative strategy centred around making Copella a natural part of the moments people love about summer. From al fresco lunches and garden gatherings to slower, sun-soaked rituals, every asset was designed to reinforce Copella's home-grown heritage while building a lifestyle-led feed that feels recognisable and unmistakably on-brand. Here's a look at what we've been creating lately ✨ Tropicana Brands Group #SocialAgency #SocialMediaManagement

Our campaign and hero film are built around a simple idea: real colleagues tell the story better and more authentically than we ever can - and yes, they’re all actual real life Tesco colleagues! 🤗 A BIG thank you to every colleague who shared their experience, our Colleague Networks for everything they do to support belonging and inclusion, and the many many teams who helped bring this to life, bigger shout out to my incredible Tesco team and Wiser for bringing this magical campaign to live including Alicia Girardi Keeley Martin Ione Lewis Joshua Clark Millie Catling Emma McCormack Ciara Campbell and all the production team, to Michelle Cutmore for her continued support in helping me navigate this new world and of course to Jo Kay who began this work (and many more who I've not tagged) I'm super proud to see authentic colleague stories at the heart of how we showcase what it's really like to work at Tesco ❤️💙 #EmployerBrand #RecruitmentMarketing #Tesco #Belonging #Inclusion #EveryLittleHelps

UK Consumer Electronics: What the latest Metis by MediaVision data tells us The Christmas shopping season is already shaking things up… -Brand search is down 1.46% YOY -Non-brand (product-led) search is up 5.66% YOY In plain English? Shoppers care less about where they buy, and more about what they buy. 👀 A few standouts: 1) Amazon is still huge (24% share of search) but slipping (-1.75%). 2) Currys and John Lewis are quietly growing. 3) And challengers like Oura Ring, and Nespresso are carving out space. 🔥 On the product side, searches are booming for: Washing machines (+45.8%) and TVs (+33.8%) – big household buys. Coffee machines (+42.3%) – still a lifestyle must-have. Kindles (+27.7%) and AirPods (+14.0%) – classic Christmas presents. So what’s the takeaway for CMOs? 1) Don’t just fight for brand searches—product SEO is where the growth is. 2) Meet customers at the “I need a new TV / laptop / coffee machine” stage. Think gifting + value: that’s where the eyeballs (and wallets) are heading. 👉 This season, the brands that win will be the ones who show up when consumers start their product-first search. If you want to be fast and first to react to changes in search behaviour drop me a comment and I'll arrange a demo. #growth #ecommerce #electronics
