𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦: In the 2010s, we struggled with 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐥. In 2026, we are hitting Agent Sprawl. Right now, most enterprises have teams building siloed agents in isolation. They use different models, bespoke toolchains, and have zero governance. It’s "Shadow AI" on steroids - and it's an operational nightmare. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤: Very few organisations are asking the hard question: 👉 How do you manage hundreds of agents across teams, domains, and geographies? 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞: Global leaders are already moving to solve this: • 𝐒𝐨𝐧𝐲 is using these patterns to enable the reuse of agent skills across business units • 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐰𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 is establishing governance from day one to prevent agent sprawl • 𝐏𝐞𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐂𝐨 and 𝐌𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 are creating a single "source of truth" where developers can discover and trust the agents they build against 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐬: 1️⃣ 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲: No more reinventing the wheel. Search for a "Billing Agent" and find a vetted tool - even if it's named differently. "Search before you build" is the new mandate🔍 2️⃣ 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐩: Native support for MCP and A2A. Think of it as the "USB port" that allows agents to talk to any tool, anywhere🔌 3️⃣ 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲 & 𝐈𝐀𝐌: Agents now get unique identities. We can finally track exactly who (or what) modified a production database🔐 4️⃣ 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬: Lifecycle management that moves agents from Draft → Pending → Approved. ✅ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: We’ve had the Infrastructure (Cloud), the Platforms (K8s), and the Data (Lakes). 👉️Now we have 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐦 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞: As agents grow from dozens to thousands, this becomes less of a tooling problem and more of a 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦. • AI shifts from "cool experiments" to a managed, scalable operating model • Governance becomes a competitive advantage, not a bottleneck • Risk from “Shadow AI” is significantly reduced through centralized visibility The next wave of value won't be created by who builds the most agents. Nice move by Dell Technologies- they’ve built a true "AI Factory" value prop by wrapping their proprietary storage and liquid cooling expertise around the NVIDIA stack. 🛠️ Not surprised to see #JensenHuang doubling revenue forecasts to $1T through 2027. When you have #Dell, #HPE and #Cisco all using your blueprints as their "premium" offering, #NVIDIA has effectively become the "Intel Inside" for the generative era -the industry's central nervous system. 🧠 It’s a masterclass in a "Distribution Channel Operating Model." But the real genius - Dell is now selling these "ready-to-use" factories to a new breed of AI Cloud Providers like #JoshPayne at #Nscale and other neoclouds. These players are using Dell’s pre-converged AI infrastructure to light up their own revenue targets - most notably with the massive “Nscale Monarch” project, a 1.35GW flagship deployment of the next-gen Vera Rubin GPUs. Jai Saini shared thisIran Cyber Attack US Stryker - No Hack, Just Logged In 🖥️ 79 countries, 200K devices wiped, disrupted global operations - No malware, No ransomware, Clean logs 😇 SASE | XDR | CASB | SIEM - All Working, All Blind. 👇 😮 SASE solution saw a valid session to a trusted Microsoft endpoint. Waved it through correctly 😮 XDR had no execution to detect. The MDM agent used a signed Microsoft binary that behaved normally 😮 CASB had no exfiltration to flag as data was destroyed in place 😮 SIEM all correctly reporting nothing anomalous One stolen Entra ID Global Admin credential. One Intune remote wipe command. That's the entire attack 💀 Nobody in the room wants to admit this: we've built a great capability to detect attackers moving through the environment. We've treated the management plane "Entra ID, Intune, MDM control layer" as infrastructure - Trusted, Internal & Not a threat surface! This assumption just wiped a $22B medical device company before 8am UTC. And knocked hospital ECG systems offline in the process. The attacker didn't need to touch your network. Didn't need to bypass your SASE. Didn't need to evade your XDR. They needed one thing: Global Admin. Once they had it, your entire security stack was irrelevant because it was never designed to question what admins do 😰 AiTM phishing is why. It doesn't break MFA. It waits for your admin to complete MFA legitimately, then steals the session token issued after. Your Authenticator app, Push notification, OTP are all irrelevant. The session is valid. The attacker is now your admin -oops🤗 Three settings, already in your E5 license. Never configured: 👍 FIDO2 or passkeys enforced via Conditional Access for every privileged role. The only MFA that defeats AiTM at the authentication layer. Not recommended -enforced. 👍 Intune Multi-Admin Approval for destructive operations. A single compromised admin should never have unilateral wipe authority over the entire device fleet. Force a second approval. Double the attacker's problem. 👍 Entra PIM with no standing privilege. A stolen Global Admin credential from a non-elevated account is a credential, not a weapon. Time-bound / Just-in-Time elevation with approval workflows changes the blast radius entirely. No new vendors. No new budget. MITRE already documented it - T1078, T1621, T1485. Red teams know exactly where to look. Nobody asked them to scope the M365 management plane. Who owns that answer? The question every CISO and architecture review should open with isn't "can attackers bypass our SASE policy" - It's what can an attacker do the moment they have our Global Admin password? If the answer is still "wipe the company" - that's not a gap in your detection stack. Everyone is talking about H100/Blackwell clusters. But after years of leading data centre designs, transformations and hyperscaler networks, I’ve learned one thing: The invisible backbone is where the real battle is won or lost. 👉 The real differentiator in the AI era isn’t just the compute - it’s the network architecture that allows it to function as one system. Training LLMs requires thousands of GPUs to act as one. The resulting East-West traffic would melt a traditional fabric. 🏗️ Hyperscale AI Infrastructure Realities: The Bottleneck Shift: Compute is no longer the constraint. Your cluster is only as fast as the network connecting it. The Zero-Loss Mandate: AI can't afford packet drops. Whether scaling InfiniBand for performance or Ethernet (RoCEv2) using Broadcom Jericho3 or Cisco Silicon One, zero-loss is the entry price. The Scalability Stack: We rely on VXLAN overlays with a BGP EVPN control plane for stable, multi-tenant fabrics. It’s the difference between a lab project and a global platform. Regional Scaling: High-capacity DWDM is the critical link enabling AI platforms to scale across regions without hitting a latency wall. Automation: Manual CLI work is a liability. NetDevOps pipelines for Arista EOS or Cisco NX-OS are essential for survival at scale. 🛡️ The 4 Pillars of a Battle-Tested AI Fabric: 🔎 Observability: Up/Down is a lie. We need granular telemetry (via CloudVision or Nexus Dashboard) to catch micro-bursts that destroy efficiency. 🔐 Security: Multi-tenant policy enforcement must be baked into the VXLAN fabric from day one. 🛡️ Resilience: The network must absorb link failures without stalling training runs. 📈 Scalability: Building for 8 GPUs is easy; building for 100,000+ XPUs is an architectural feat. 💡 At the hyperscale level, they care about one metric: Job Completion Time (JCT). A 1% drop in network efficiency leads to weeks of delayed training and wasted capital.
